Important Information E NGLISH - 8 Precautions with regard to safety If you notice smoke, stra nge smells or noise co ming from the projector, disconnect t he mains plug from the mains socket. Do not continue to use the projector in such cases, otherwise fire or electric shocks could res ult.

E NGLISH - 13 Preparation Read this first When you start the projection for the first time or after the projector is initialis ed, the minimum required settin g screen for projection will be displayed. J LANGUAGE Select the required lang uage setting.

Getting Started E NGLISH - 19 Connections Read and follow the operating and con necting in structions o f each peripher al device. The peripher al devices must be turned off. One RGB cable is provided with the projector . If necess ary , pr epare comme rcial connecting cables that match with the pr ojector and each periph eral device t erminals.

Make sure the sh ape of the mains plu g and the AC IN terminal on the ba ck of the proj ector match, then push th e plug all th e way in. 2. Align the side of the powe r cord secure lock wi th the side guide rail of the AC IN terminal of the projector and slide it in.

Basic Operation Switching the projector on /off E NGLISH - 23 The POWER indicator in forms you the status of th e power and th e POWER LOCK indicator sh ows the status of the RELEASE button. When the LAMP and/o r TEMP indicators are flashing, the POWER and POWER LOCK indicators will not light.
E NGLISH - 24 Basic Operation Projecting an image 1. Switch on the connecte d devices. Press the play button of the required device. 2. Detect the input signal automatically . 3. Switch the aspect ra tio automatically . 1. Place the projector at th e right angle from the screen.
E NGLISH - 25 Basic Operation Remote control operation You can operate the pr ojector with the remote control within the remote range 15 m (4 9'2"), approximately ± 30° vertically and horizontally .

E NGLISH - 29 Settings Menu Navigation The menu system allows you to access fu nctions which do not have their own dedicated buttons on the remote control. The menu options are str uctured and cate gorised. You can n avigate through the menu with FGHI buttons.

E NGLISH - 34 Settings POSITION menu If the projector is aligned no n-perpendi cularly to the screen, or if the projection screen has an angled surface, the keystone will be corrected automatically.
POSITION menu E NGLISH - 35 Settings You can switch the aspect ratio manually when nee ded. Press I H to cycle through the options. J Aspect ratio options Q AUTO Signals which contains an identif ying aspect s ignal will be detected and auto matically project the image in proper ratio.

E NGLISH - 37 Settings OPTION menu When you change the input method, the guidance appears in the upper rig ht corner of the screen. The following display methods are available. Press I H to cycle through the options. You can switch the logo on /off that is displayed whe n starting up the projector.

E NGLISH - 44 Maintenance LAMP and TEMP Indicators If a problem sh ould occur with the p rojector, the LAMP and/or TEMP indicators will inform you. Manage the in dicated problems as follow. 1. Confirm the status of all indicators and projector , and switch off the projector in proper way .
E NGLISH - 45 Maintenance Care and Replacement J Before cleaning the pro jector Switch off the projector and disconnect the mains plug from the mains so cket. Unplug all the cables from the pr ojector . J Cleaning the outer sur face of the projector Wipe off dirt and dust gently with a sof t cloth.
Maintenance Care and Replacement E NGLISH - 46 The lamp unit, ET-LAB80 is consumable and you must replace it r egularly. It is recommended that a quali fied technician car ry the lamp unit re placement an d consult with an Author ised Service Centre. J When to replace the Lamp unit When the lamp is consumed, the brigh tness may decrea se over time.
