E NGLISH -5 Preparation Precautions with regar d to saf ety W ARNING If you notice smoke, strange smells or noise coming from the projector, disconnect the power cord plug from the wall outlet. B Do not continue to use the projector in such cases, otherwise fire or electric shocks could result.
E NGLISH -7 Preparation 6-E NGLISH Do not use the projector in a bath or shower. B Fire or electric shocks can result. Do not look into the lens while the projector is being used. B Strong light is emitted from the projector’s lens. If you look directly into this light, it can hurt and damage your eyes.

B Failure to observe this may cause the projector to become unbalanced and fall, which could result in damage or injury. E NGLISH -39 Adjustments and settings 38-E NGLISH Press the F or G button on the projector or remote control unit to select an item, and then press the I or H button to change the setting. For items with bar scales, press the ENTER button or the I or H button to display the adjustment screen, and then press the I or H button to make the adjustment.
E NGLISH -41 Adjustments and settings 40-E NGLISH RESIZING This should normally be set to “ON”. (This setting is only for signals which have lower resolutions than the LCD panels. Refer to page 58 for details.) ON The pixel resolution of the input signal is converted to the same resolution as the LCD panels before being projected.
E NGLISH -43 Adjustments and settings 42-E NGLISH Press the F or G button on the projector or remote control unit to select an item, then press the I or H button to change the setting. OSD ON The signal name is displayed in the top-right corner of the screen when the input signal is changed.
44-E NGLISH LAMP R UNTIME This setting displays the usage time for the lamp unit which is currently being used. When replacing the lamp unit, follow the instructions on page 51, and reset “LAMP RUNTIME” to “0”. FUNC 1 This assigns a function to the FUNC1 button of the ET-RM200 wireless remote control unit (sold separately).
E NGLISH -47 Care and maintenance When the TEMP indicator and the LAMP indicator are illuminated There are two indicators on the control panel of the projector which give information about the operating condition of the projector.
E NGLISH -49 Care and maintenance 48-E NGLISH Cleaning and replacing the air filter If the air filter becomes clogged with dust, the internal temperature of the projector will rise, the TEMP indicator will flash and the projector power will turn off. The air filter should be cleaned every 100 hours of use.
