3 BEFORE USE English Introduction Thank you for pur chasing the Panasonic Automatic Arm Blood P ressure Monitor EW-BU35. Measuring your o wn blood pressure is an important way of m onitoring y our health. High blood press ure (h ypertension) is a major h ealth probl em which can be t reated eectively once detected.

The ideal time to measure y our blood pressure (to obtain y our so-called “base ● blood pressure ”) is in the morning just af ter waking up , before ha ving breakfast and befo re an y major activity or exer cise.

BEFORE USE 12 English W rapping the cu 1. Insert the cu plug into the cu socket all the way in. The cu can be used on either upper arm. This section shows an example of wrapping the cu on the left arm. The dierenc e in blood pressure between left and right arm may be around 10 * mm Hg .
HOW TO USE English 13 Sit quietly and relax while taking measurements. T ake a measurement while sitting a t a desk and positioning the cu at heart level as shown in the image below . Dierences in heigh t will cause dierences in measur ed blood pressure values.
