LIP-6830 User Guide 5 June 07 2. Using Basic LIP-6830 F eatures The LIP-6830 is equipped with Softkeys and two direction buttons, used to navigate and select items from the display menu. An item can be selected when it is displayed by using the Softkeys.

To place a call: 1) Lift the handset, press , press , or press Line butto n. 2) Dial the destination phone number; when the called party answers, begin speaking (the LCD will display the elapsed time of the call).
LIP-6830 User Guide 7 June 07 To transfer an active call: 1) Press [BXfr] Softkey. 2) Dial the number you wish to transfer. 3) Hang up to complete the transfer.

To answer a second call: 1) Press [Answ] Softkey; the first call is automatically placed on hold.

User call groups are assig ned in the Call Server. To pickup a call ringing at a group ex tension: 1) Press the ¼ to locate the [GPic] Softkey.
