ASUS P9D-C Series 2-9 2.3.1 Installing the CPU T o install the CPU: 1. Locate the CPU socket on the motherboard. Before installing the CPU, ensure that the socket box is facing toward you and the load lever is on your right.

ASUS P9D-C Series 4-3 4.1 Managing and updating your BIOS The following utilities allow you to manage and update the motherboard Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) setup: 1. ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3 T o recover the BIOS using a bootable USB ash disk drive when the BIOS le fails or gets corrupted.

The Main menu provides you an overview of the basic system information, and allows you to set the system date and time. 4.3.1 System Date Allows you to set the system date to [Day mm/dd/yyyy] .

ASUS P9D-C Series 4-27 Flow Control [Hardware RTS/CTS] Flow control can prevent data loss from buffer overow . When sending data, if the receiving buffers are full, a “stop” signal can be sent to stop the data ow . Once the buffers are empty , a “start” signal can be sent to re-start the ow .

4-36 Chapter 4: BIOS setup 4.8 Security This menu allows a new password to be created or a current password to be cchanged. The menu also enables or disables the Secure Boot state and lets the user congure the System Mode state.
