2. PURPOSE 2.1. Binoculars range finder LRB 20 000 AEP 36.28.001 is a device of industrial- technical purpose and designed for ground surveillance, observ ation of individual targets and measurem ent.

6. SAFETY P RECAUTIONS 6 .1. Range finder is an opto-electronic dev ice emitting high- density pulses of dark lig ht at w avelength of 1.06 µm, characteri zed by the follow ing dan gerous factors according to GOST 12.1. 040-83: - direct laser radiation; - mi rror-reflected laser radiation ; - diffu se-reflected laser radiation .
7. PREPARING F OR USE 7.1. Choose an observation post. 7.2. Rotate the objective frame to bring the reticule in sharp focus. 7.3. Check ran ge fin der for proper operation: - Battery voltage; - The r ange find er fo r pr oper functio ning.
7.5.2 . T o ori ent the r ange find er by using the refer ence d irect ional angle, proceed as f ollows: - Binocular the rang e finder on th e reference point w hose dire ctiona l angle has b een known; - rotate the azimuth dial to set the reference directional angle; - turn the clam ping handle to lock the azim uth dial in position.
To make sure that th e needle is free from defects, check that: - The needle o scillates in a smooth and un iform m anner to regain balance; - The position of the needle end is the same relativ e to the m ark w hen the needle settles; - T he needle ends are lev el with the marked plates within ± 0.

10.2. Maintenance Service Types and Interv als. 10.2.1. While in use, the range finder is subject to the following types of m aintenance services: - Check inspection; - Da ily (routine) service; - I n-serv ice maintenance. 10.2.2. The same servicing intervals are established for the component parts and the entire rang e finder.

T o clean the contacts in the battery s ection, do the following: - Wind s ome cotton wool arou nd one en d of a w ooden stick ; - Moisten the cotton w ool with alcohol; - Wipe the contacts several tim es by m eans of cotton w ool moistened w ith alcohol.

16. DATA OUTPUT TO EXTERNAL EQ UIPMENT The data on measured range is output to a rem ote display or computer acros s connector X2. To output the data, it is necessary to apply th e supply voltage of 3 to 8 V from the equipm ent to be connected to the range finder to pin 9 o f connector X2.

20. WARRANTY NEWCON OPTIK warrants this product against defects in material and work manship for one year from the date of the original date of consum er's purchase, but no m ore than 18 months from the date of manufacturing .
