20 (B) Example of wireless LAN connection (Network T ype → Mode: Infrastr ucture) 2. Installation and Connections Access P oint Wired LAN To make connection with a wired LAN via an access point, you need to select the Infr astructure mode.
21 2. Installation and Connections Inserting the PC Card 1. Make sure the main po wer is off before inserting the PC card. (This step is needed onl y when the wireless LAN card being inserted into the projector's PC CARD slot) 2. Hold the PC car d horizontally and insert it slowly into the PC card slot with its top facing up.
22 2. Installation and Connections PC Card T ype The PC Card slot accepts PCMCIA T ype II only . NOTE: The projector does not support NTFS formatted flash memory card or USB memor y device. Be sure to use a flash memory card or USB memor y device formatted with the F A T32, FA T16 or FA T file system.
23 2. Installation and Connections Connecting the Supplied Power Cable Connect the supplied power cab le to the projector . First connect the supplied pow er cable's two-pin plug to the A C IN of the projector , and then connect the other plug of the supplied power cab le in the wall outlet.

28 3. Projecting an Image (Basic Operation) Zoom Use the ZOOM le ver to adjust the image size on the screen. Focus Use the FOCUS ring to obtain the best focus .
29 Corr ecting Keystone Distortion Auto Keystone Correction The A uto Ke ystone correction feature will correct v er tical distor tion of a projected image on the screen. No special operation required. Just put the projector on a flat surf ace. To use the Auto K eystone function, first y ou must select [Auto] in [K eystone] from the menu.
30 5. Repeat steps 2 and 4 to correct keystone distortion. 6. After completing Keystone correction, press the ENTER button. The K eystone screen will disappear . • T o perf or m K eystone correction again, press the 3D REFORM button to display the K eystone screen and repeat abov e steps 1 to 6.

35 4. Convenient Features Using a USB Mouse Using a USB mouse giv es you a smooth operation. A commercially available USB mouse can be used. NOTE: There may be some brands of a USB mouse that the projector does not support.

38 Corr ecting Horizontal and V ertical Keystone Distortion (Cor - nerstone) Use the 3D Reform feature to correct keystone (trapezoidal) distortion to make the top or bottom and the left or right side of the screen longer or shor ter so that the projected image is rectangular .

51 4. Convenient Features 씈 Using the Pr ojector to Operate a Computer Connected on a Network (Desktop Contr ol Utility 1.0) When Desktop Control Utility 1.0 on the included User Supportware 3 CD-ROM is installed on the computer , that computer can be operated using the projector o ver a network.

80 6. Using On-Screen Menu Setting a P asswor d [Menu Loc k] / [Logo Lock] A pass word can be set for y our projector to av oid operation by an unauthorized person. When [Menu Loc k] is set, changing the menu from Basic to Advanced will displa y the P assword input screen.
81 6. Using On-Screen Menu [Security] The Security function enables y ou to protect your projector so that the projector will not project a signal unless y ou enter a k eyword. There is also an option to lock the projector by using a registered PC card* or USB memory* as a protect ke y .
