E – 19 3. BASIC OPERA TION Connecting the Power Cable and T urn on the Projector Before y ou turn on your projector , ensure that the computer or video source is tur ned on and that your lens hood cap is remo ved. 1. Connect the supplied pow er cable to the projector .
E – 20 T o turn of f the projector: First press the P ower (ON/ST ANDBY) button on the projector cabinet or the PO WER OFF button on the remote control for a minimum of tw o seconds. The po wer indicator will glow or ange. After the projector turns off, the cooling fans k eep operating for three min utes.
E – 21 Set up the projector 1. T urn on the pr ojector 2. Select your type of pr ojection: Desktop fr ont, ceiling r ear , desktop rear , and ceiling fr ont. 3. Display the test pattern by pr essing the TEST button on the r e- mote contr ol or using the menu.
E – 22 Other adjustments Rotate the projector to make the image square. Use keystone correction f or proper adjustment. Rotate the f our feet to make the image square to the screen.

E – 41 Menu Descriptions & Functions Source Select Enables you to select a video source such as a VCR, D VD play er , laser disc play er , computer or document camera depending on what is connected to your inputs .
E – 42 Use the 䊴 or 䊳 button to choose "Normal" when in a lighted room and "Natural 1&2" when in a darkened room. "Natural 1" f or better flesh tone; "Natural 2" for true reproduction of middle tones .
E – 43 Horizontal/V ertical Position (when Auto Adjust is of f): Adjusts the image location from left to right. This adjustment is made automatically when the A uto Adjust is turned on. Aspect Ratio (not available for RGB) : Y ou can select the aspect ratio f or input signal and displa y area re- spectiv ely .
E – 44 Color Matrix First, select an appropriate color matrix for y our input signal, either HDTV or SDTV . Then select an appropriate matr ix type from B-Y/ R-Y , Cb/Cr , Pb/Pr or IVX. NOTE: The Color Matrix feature is available for component video signal only .
E – 45 Adjusts the sound le vel of the projector . NOTE: Y ou can also display the volume bar without opening the menu. See "Volume Bar (Direct Button)"on page E-48 for more details. Select either the RGB signal type or the Component signal type.

Replacing the Lamp After your lamp has been operating f or 1500 hours (2000 hours : Eco mode) or longer , the “ Status ” indicator in the cabinet will go on and the message will appear .
E – 53 Cleaning or Replacing the Filter The air-filter sponge keeps the inside of the MultiSync GT2150 Projec- tor free from dust or dir t and should be cleaned after e v ery 100 hours of operation (more often in dusty conditions). If the filter is dir ty or clogged, your projector ma y overheat.
