11 Throttle Control Lever The throt tle contro l leve r is loca ted on the right si de of the tractor’s das h panel. Th is lever control s the speed of the engine .
12 Seat Adjustment Lever To adjust the s eat forward or backwa rd, slide the se at adjustme nt leve r to the left and r epositio n the seat to the desir ed positio n. Onc e a comforta ble positi on is found, rel ease the sea t adjust ment lev er to lock the seat in place.

14 Driving The T ractor IMPORT ANT : Avoid sudden starts , ex-ces sive speed and sud den s tops. • Depr ess th e brak e ped al to relea se the park ing brake and let the pedal up. Move the thro ttle lever into the FA ST (rabbi t) positi on. IMPORT ANT : Do not use the shift lever to change t he direction of travel when the tractor is in motion.
15 • Pla ce the shift l ever i n the REV ERSE positio n, loo k to the rear to ensure the pa th is empty, and depre ss the dr ive pe dal. Using the Deck Lift Lever To raise the cutting dec k, move the dec k lift lever to the left, then place it in the notch best s uited for yo ur applica tion.
16 SECTION 6: MAKING ADJUSTMENTS P arking Brake Adj ust the br ake if 1. the tract or does not stop c omplet ely when the brake pe dal is comple tely depr essed; or 2.

18 SECTION 7: MAINTAINING YOUR GARDEN TRACTOR Engine Refer to the eng ine manu al for engine mai ntenance instruc tions. • Ch eck engin e oil level before eac h use as ins tructed in t he eng ine m anual.
19 SECTION 8: SERVICE Cutting D eck Removal To remov e the cutting d eck, pr oceed as fol lows: • Pla ce the PT O knob/l ever in the disengage d (OFF) position and engage the pa rking brak e. • Lower the deck by mo ving the deck lift leve r into the bottom notch on the right fen der.
20 To chang e or replace th e deck belts on your trac tor, proceed as follo ws: • Lower the deck by mo ving the deck lift leve r into the bottom notch on the right fen der. • Re move the bel t guards by rem oving the se lf- tappin g screws that fa sten them to the deck .

24 SECTION 9: OFF-SEASON STORAGE Clean and l ubricat e the tract or as instr ucted on pa ge 18 of this manu al before st oring for an extended pe riod. Follow the ins tructio ns in the ser vice, storage & specifi cations section of the engine m anual for proper engine c are pr ior t o storing your tractor.
