1 The 6402 and 6402D T elephones There are two 6402 telephon es: the basic 6 402 telep hone a nd the 640 2D, whic h has a 2- line, 16-ch arac ter di spl ay . Fam i l iari ze yo ur sel f with the fea ture s on the 6 402 an d 6402D telephone , shown in Figure 1 below.

4 The Re dial (or La st Numb er Diale d) feature a utoma tically redials th e last extens ion or outs ide numb er you di aled. T o redial the last num ber that you di aled 1. Press . The redial ed number can be an outside num ber (up to 24 digits ), an extension, or a t runk or fea ture ac cess co de.
5 The T est fe ature a llows you to test the light s on you r telephone and th e displa y , if the telephon e has one. T o test t he lights and display on t he teleph one 1. While o n-hook, press an d hold do wn . The lights go on stead ily , and, if your telephone has a display, all the display segme nts fill in.
