Connecting the pr ojector to a computer Preparation: • Make sure that the power of the pr ojector and that of the computer ar e turned off. • When connecting the projector to a desktop computer , disconnect the RGB cable that is connected to the monitor .

EN-16 Viewing computer images (continued) Important: • Focus, zoom and lens shift adjustment is possible in the normal picture mode only . • When a 4:3 image is kept displayed for a long time before displaying 16:9 image, the afterimages of the black bars may appear on the 16:9 image screen.
EN-17 Viewing video images Connecting to a video player , etc. 1. Connect one end (yellow) of the supplied audio/video cable to the VIDEO IN terminal of the projector . 2. Connect one end (white and r ed) of the supplied audio/ video cable to the audio input terminals (L/MONO, R) of the projector .
EN-18 Connecting to video equipment having a HDMI terminal or DVI-D terminal Y ou can project high-quality images by connecting the COMPUTER/COMPONENT VIDEO DVI-D (HDCP) terminal of this projector to video equipment having a HDMI output terminal or DVI-D terminal.

EN-27 5. INFORMA TION menu ITEM DESCRIPTION LAMP TIME (LOW) This item shows a lamp operating time (hour) calculated based on that LAMP MODE is LOW . • When the LAMP MODE is ST ANDARD, this item shows a longer lamp operating time than the actual time.
EN-28 Adjusting pr ojected images T o adjust the brightness (CONTRAST and BRIGHTNESS): Y ou can make adjustments for the brightness of the projected image using the menu. (See page 23 for menu setting.) 1. Display the IMAGE menu. 2. Select CONTRAST or BRIGHTNESS by pr essing the S or T button.

EN-30 Adjusting pr ojected images (continued) How to adjust the computer image This projector automatically selects a pr oper signal format according to the type of video signal supplied from the computer . However , video signals from the computer may not be projected corr ectly depending on the types of the computer and images to be projected.

EN-38 This projector includes a terminal cover with Anti-Theft Alarm device. Once the terminal cover is installed, its Anti-Theft Alarm device will detect vibration caused by the projector being moved and emit an alarm. • Mitsubishi assumes no responsibility or liability for theft or other damages.
EN-39 Replacing the lamp This projector is equipped with a lamp to pr oject images. This lamp is a consumable. It may bur n out or its brightness may decrease during use. In such cases, r eplace the lamp with a new one as soon as possible. Be sure to replace the lamp with a new lamp separately sold that is exclusive to this projector .
