Pushbuttons – Door This butt on is used to open the door (does not stay pushed i n). – j ON / k OF F When the machine is tur ned on, the “On” indicator will light up if the door is closed. If the door is open, the drum light will be on. – Buzzer Allows the buzzer to sound when the drum rotates during the anti-crease cycle.

Notes on laundr y care Before drying, check the i nstructions on the fabric care label. The following fabrics should not be dried in a tumble d ryer: – Woollens an d wool blends These fa brics tend to b ecome ma tted and shrink. – Ite ms filled with down The fine fabric interior tends t o shrink, depending on t he quality o f the item involved.
Program selection Functional description An electr onic se nsor system monito rs the moi sture content of th e laundry . Once the required degree of dr yness is reached, cold air enters the drum to cool the laundr y . The dr ying program is then t ermina ted.
T o select a program Pre ss the "On/O ff" butt on. Set the desired pr ogram by turning the program selector either clo ck- wise or counterclockwise . Pre ss the "Start" button. The program st atus will be s tored for 30 minutes in the event of a power failure.

Cleaning and c are Cleaning the lint filter The lint i s collecte d by the lint filter in the door . Clean the filter af ter ever y program. Grip the filt er by th e recessed handle and pull up t o remove. Any remaining lint in the hollow par t of the door can be removed through the gap at the bottom.
Problem solving guide Electrical appliances should only be repair ed by qualified personnel. Incor- rectly r epaired machines may put the user at ri sk. There ar e, however , minor problems which can be corr ected without contacting the Service Depar tment.
What to do if, . . . ? Cause . . . Remedy . . . . . . the drum door opens dur- ing the drying cycle? The machine ha s overheated. The temperature limiter opened the drum door a nd caused the machine to tur n off automatically . Possible reasons for overheating: – The lint filter in the doo r is clogged.
The interior drum light fails t o func- tion: The bulb may be burnt out. Replace it as follow s: T ur n off the machine or dis connect it from the power suppl y . Open the door . Unscr ew the plastic b ulb cover lo- cated ins ide the drum and above the door (see illus tration).

INST ALLA TION INSTRUCTIONS Grounding a n d E l e c t ri c a l c o n - nection Grounding instructions This appliance must be grounded. In the even t of a malfunct ion, ground- ing will reduce the risk of electric sh ock by providing a path o f least resistan ce for the elect ric current.
Installation The machine should be lev el to ens ure safe and proper operation. Minor dis- cr epancies d o not, howe ver , have an adverse ef fect o n operati on. The machine can be leveled by t urn- ing the legs clockwise or cou nter- clockwise a s necessary .
Exhaust venting The moist air from the dryer must be vented to the outside. The appliance should not be vented into a chimney , a wall, a ce iling, or any concealed spaces of the building. When in stalling, try to avoid: – very long venting syste ms – too many bends o r angles – tight corners otherwise .
The shorter the exhaust d uctwork, the more efficient the dry er will be. Ex- pelled air is slow ed down in t he ducts due to friction agains t the inner walls, therefore the shorte r and smoother the inner walls are, the le ss friction w ill occur . An elbow or bend creates more frictio n than a s traight duc t.
