W arning and Safety instructions 8 T echnical safety Before setting up the tumble dryer , check it for any externally visi‐ ble damage. Do not install or use a damaged tumble dryer .
W arning and Safety instructions 9 The tumble dryer must be isolated fr om the electricity supply in the event of a fault and during cleaning and maintenance. This tumble dryer must not be used in a non-stationary location (e.g. on a ship). Do not make any alter ations to the tumble dryer , unless author‐ ised to do so by Miele.
W arning and Safety instructions 10 Please observe the instructions in "Installation and connection" and the "T echnical data". The accessibility of the plug must always be ensured, in or der to disconnect the tumble dryer from the mains.
W arning and Safety instructions 11 T o prevent the risk of fire, the following t extiles must not be dried in this tumble dryer: – Items which have not been washed. – Items, such as workwear , which have no t been thor oughly cleaned and which are still soiled with gr ease, oil or other depos‐ its (such as cosmetics, lotions etc).
W arning and Safety instructions 12 T o prevent the risk of fire, the following t extiles must not be dried in this tumble dryer: – Items which have been cleaned using chemicals (e.g. pr ofessio‐ nal dry-cleaning agents). – Items which contain a lar ge proportion of rubber , foam rubber or rubber -like materials.
W arning and Safety instructions 13 The tumble dryer must not be used without fluff filters or – with damaged fluff filters, or – with a damaged plinth filter . This would cause an ex cessive build-up of fluff which in turn would cause a fault.
W arning and Safety instructions 14 Using a fragr ance flacon (optional accessor y) Only use genuine Miele original fr agrance flacons. The fr agrance flacon must be st ored in its packaging so please make sur e you retain this. Caution. The fr agr ance can leak out of the flacon.
W arning and Safety instructions 15 Accessories Only use genuine Miele original spare parts and accessories with this appliance. If non-Miele parts are used, guar antee, performance and product liability claims will be invalidat ed. The tumble dryer can be combined with a Miele washing machine in a washer -dryer stack.

Before using for the first time 19 Removing the protective foil and stickers Remove – the prot ective foil from the door . – any stickers from the fr ont and the lid. Please do not remove any labels (e.g. the data plate), visible when you open the door .
EcoF eedback 20 Y ou can use the EcoF eedback sensor to call up information about the ener gy consumption of your dryer . T ouching the EcoF eedback sensor will call up two types of information: – an estimate of the consumption be‐ fore the pr ogramme begins – the energy consumption during the progr amme.
1. Notes on correct laundry care 21 P oints to note regarding wash‐ ed laundry – When washing very heavily soiled items ensur e that you use sufficient deter gent and select a high tempera‐ ture. If in doubt, wash the it ems sev‐ eral times. – Do not put soaking wet items into the tumble dryer .

2. L oad the tumble dr yer 23 It is essential to read "1. Notes on correct laundry care" first of all. Press the butt on to switch the dryer on. The interior drum lighting will come on. The interior drum lighting will automat‐ ically go out after a few minutes and/or after the start of a pr ogramme to save ener gy .
3. Select a progr amme and start it 24 Select a progr amme T urn the progr amme selector . Different pr ogrammes and setting op‐ tions will light up in the display, de‐ pending on the position of the pro‐ gramme select or .
3. Select a progr amme and start it 25 Progr ammes with drying levels – Cottons, Minimum iron, Delicates, Denim, Shirts, Express, Gentle smoothing, Steam smoothing, Au‐ tomatic plus, Sportswear , Outer‐ wear The drying level can be alter ed after selecting one of these progr ammes.
3. Select a progr amme and start it 26 Select any options or delay start (if required) Options Pr ess a button. The button will light up when the option is selected. An option can only be selected when the load indication has gone out in the display .
4. Remove the laundry 27 End of progr amme/Anti-crease At the end of the pr ogramme: Anti- crease/Finish (if anti-crease has been selected) or Finish will light up.
Options 28 The options are switched on or off by pressing the appr opriate button. Not all options can be combined or can be se‐ lected/deselected The button will light up when the option is selected. Gentle tumble Delicate fabric (with the symbol on the care label, e.

Delay start 30 T o select delay start With delay start you can delay the start of the progr amme by up to a maximum of 24 hours. After selecting the pr ogramme, pr ess the Delay start button. The following will light up in the display: Start in h 00 : 00 The sensor will increase the dur a‐ tion by 1 hour up to 24 hours.

Changing the progr amme sequence 37 Y ou cannot change to another pr o‐ gramme once a pr ogramme has start ed (this prevents unint entional alterations). If you move the progr amme selector , Change not possible will light up in the display until you move the progr amme selector back to the original pr o‐ gramme.
Cleaning and care 38 Emptying the condensed water container The condensed water is collected in the condensed water container . Empty the condensed water contain‐ er after every drying progr amme. Empty container will light up if the maximum level of the condensed water container is reached.
Cleaning and care 39 Pr eparing the condensed wa‐ ter container for Steam smoothing Condensed water which has col‐ lected in the condensed water con‐ tainer is direct ed into the drum in the Steam smoothing pr ogramme. The condensed water container must therefor e be filled with water up to at least the –min– marker .
Cleaning and care 40 Fluff filters This tumble dryer has 2 fluff filters in the door opening: the upper and lower fluff filters tr ap fluff produced during the drying process. Removing visible fluff Remove any fluff after every drying cycle. Tip: Y ou can also use a vacuum cleaner so that you can remove the fluff without touching it.
Cleaning and care 41 Cleaning the fluff filters and air flow openings thoroughly If the drying duration has become longer or the surface of the filters is visibly compacted with fluff, you should carry out the following clean‐ ing procedur e. If using a fr agrance flacon make sure you r emove it beforehand.
Cleaning and care 42 Plinth filter Only clean the plinth filter when Clean out airways lights up. T o delete Clean out airways : Switch the dryer off and back on again / confirm OK . Removing the plinth filter Pr ess the round, indented ar ea on the heat ex changer access panel to open it.
Cleaning and care 43 Cleaning the plinth filter panel Use a damp cloth to r emove any fluff. Make sure that you do not damage the rubber seal when doing this. Check whether the cooling fins are blocked with fluff (as follows). Checking the condenser unit Danger of injury .
Cleaning and care 44 Replacing the plinth filter Fit the filter back on the handle. Make sure it is the corr ect way round. T o ensure that the filt er is positioned correctly in the fr ont of the heat ex‐ changer unit: First insert the handle with the plinth filter attached over the two guide pins.
Cleaning and care 45 T umble dryer Disconnect the tumble dryer from the mains electricity supply . Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, glass cleaners or all-pur‐ pose cleaners.
F ragr ance flacon 46 Using a fragr ance flacon (optional ac‐ cessory) will add a pleasant fragr ance to your laundry . Before using a fr agrance flacon, please read "W arning and safety in‐ structions - Using a fragr ance flacon (optional accessory)".
F ragrance flacon 47 Markers and must line up with one another . T urn the outer ring clockwise a lit‐ tle. – Y ou will feel a slight r esistance and hear a soft click. Marker must be in position : this is the position at which you can feel a resistance.

No action is requir ed. These noises are quite nor‐ mal and can be heard when the compr essor or the condensed water pump is oper ating.

They should only be cleaned if the drying process is taking an ex ceptionally long time due to a very high level of dust or fluff in the room in which the dryer is loca‐ ted.
Pr oblem solving guide 56 Fluff filter in the condensed water container If you are e xperiencing problems running the Steam smoothing pr o‐ gramme, the fluff filt er at the end of the hose which is connected to the rubber seal in the condensed water container could be blocked.
