First things first Optional accessories x Optional accessories T o create more varie ty and expand the capabilitie s of your ET180, you can purchase the following optional accessories. Preparing to use your ET180 Perform the following easy setup tasks to begin using your device: 1 Install the Microso ft ® Act iveSync TM software in your computer.
First things first Preparing to use your ET180 xi Refer to the ActiveSyn c TM software online Help for informa tion on how to use the software. If at any time, you would like to rest art this setup progra m, simply re-insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive.
First things first Preparing to use your ET180 xii IMPORTANT: Do not remove the b attery pack for more th an 30 minutes. The embedded backup battery cell can o nly provide power for t his period of time afte r which you risk losing all data on the internal memory of you r device.
First things first Preparing to use your ET180 xiii To charge your ET180 1 Plug the AC ad apter into any AC current outlet. 2 Connect the AC adap ter cord to the power socket at the back of the cradle. 3 Slide the device int o the front pocket of the cra dle until it clicks into place.
First things first Preparing to use your ET180 xiv T o recharge the devi ce using the AC a dapter cord: When travelling you can still rech ar ge your device and avoid the bulk of carrying the cradle by using the A C adapter cord to directly conn ect to a power outlet.

The device should be oper ated only from the type of power source indicated o n the electrical ratings label.

8 Using Phone Making phone calls 73 Y ou can make a call in two ways. On the Contacts wind ow, find the contact then: • Press the Send button twice—once to l aunch Phone and anothe r to make the call. • Tap and hold th e “w” in the right column next to the contact you want to call.

8 Using Phone Making phone calls 75 2 Use the jog dial to find the number you want to call. You can select a ca ll category— All Calls, MIssed, Outgoing, Incoming, a nd By Caller, by tapping t he pick list in the top-left corner of screen.

8 Using Phone Other Phone functions 78 If the conference connection is successful the word Conference will appear in the input area of the Dialer s c reen. To add additional people to a conference call Y ou can connect up to six (6) calle rs at a time in a conference call.
