4 T OOL. Using a power source with v oltage less than the nameplate rating is harmful to the motor . USE PROPER EXTENSION CORD . Make sure y our extension cord is in good condition. When using an e xtension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carr y the current y our product will draw .

7 INST ALLA TION Benc h mounting When the tool is shipped, the handle is lock ed in the lowered position by the stopper pin. Release the stopper pin b y lower- ing the handle slightly and pulling the stopper pin. This tool should be bolted with two bolts to a le vel and stab le surf ace using the bolt holes provided in the tool’ s base.
8 If the see-through blade guard becomes dirty , or sawdust adheres to it in such a wa y that the blade is no longer easily visible , unplug the saw and clean the guard carefully with a damp cloth. Do not use solvents or an y petroleum-based cleaners on the plastic guard.
9 With the tool unplugged, rotate the blade b y hand while hold- ing the handle all the wa y down to be sure that the b lade does not contact any part of the lower base.
10 W ARNING: • NEVER use tool without a fully operativ e switch trigger . Any tool with an inoperativ e switch is HIGHL Y D ANGEROUS and must be repaired bef ore fur ther usage. • F or your saf ety , this tool is equipped with a lock-off button which pre vents the tool from unintended starting.
11 T o remove the b lade, use the sock et wrench to loosen the he x bolt holding the center cover b y tur ning it countercloc k- wise. Raise the b lade guard and center cover . Press the shaft lock to loc k the spindle and use the socket wrench to loosen the he x bolt clockwise.
12 Dust bag The use of the dust bag makes cutting operations clean and dust collection easy . T o attach the dust bag, fit it onto the dust nozzle. When the dust bag is about half full, remov e the dust bag from the tool and pull the f astener out.
13 V ertical vise The vertical vise can be installed on the guide fence or the holder assembly (optional accessory). Inser t the vise rod into the hole in the guide f ence or the holder assembly and tighten the screw to secure the vise rod.
14 Holders and holder assembl y (optional accessories) The holders and the holder assembly can be installed on either side as a conv enient means of suppor ting workpieces horizontally . Install them as shown in the figure . Then tighten the screws firmly to secure the holders and the holder assembly .
15 1. Press cutting Secure the workpiece with the vise. Switch on the tool without the blade making an y contact and wait until the blade attains full speed bef ore lowering. Then gently lower the handle to the fully lo wered position to cut the workpiece.
16 Use the crown molding stoppers (optional accessories) when cutting the corners((1) - (4) in Fig.A). Install them on the base as shown in the figures . P osition crown molding with its W ALL CONT A CT EDGE against the guide f ence and its CEILING CONT A CT EDGE against the crown molding stoppers as sho wn in the figure.
17 CA UTION: • Use straight wood of e ven thic kness as the wood f acing. • Use screws to attach the wood f acing to the guide f ence. The screws should be installed so that the scre w heads are below the surf ace of the wood f acing. • When the wood f acing is attached, do not tur n the turn base with the handle lowered.
18 Carrying tool Make sure that the tool is unplugged. Secure the turn base at right miter angle fully by means of the grip . Lower the handle fully and lock it in the lo wered position by pushing in the stop- per pin. Carr y the tool b y carr ying grip as shown in the figure .
19 Lower the handle fully and loc k it in the lowered position by pushing in the stopper pin. Square the side of the blade with the f ace of the guide f ence using a tr iangular rule, try-square, etc. Then securely tighten the hex bolts on the guide f ence in the order from the r ight side.
