12 Adjusting depth of cut CA UTION: • After adjusting the depth of cut, alwa ys tighten the clamping screw securely . Loosen the clamping screw on the depth guide and mo ve the base up or down. Y ou can read the depth of cut by aligning the top of the notch in the depth guide with the graduations on its right side.
13 Switch action CA UTION: • Bef ore inser ting the batter y car tridge into the tool, alwa ys check to see that the s witch trigger actuates properly and retur ns to the “ OFF ” position when released. T o prev ent the switch trigger from being accidentally pulled, a lock-off le ver is pro vided.

15 Rip fence (Guide rule) The handy rip fence allows y ou to do extr a-accurate straight cuts. Simply slide the rip fence up sn ugly against the side of the workpiece and secure it in position with the screw on the front of the base. It also mak es repeated cuts of uniform width possible .
