6 Impor tant Mounting Requir ements The AE-100 T elephone Entr y System can be installed f or public or priv ate use. The mounting requirements will vary depending on the installation. Revie w the follo wing information before beginning the installation.
7 Entr y Sys tem Mounting The AE-100 cabinet is designed to be mounted three wa ys: The unit can be mounted directly to a wall or fl at surf ace. • The unit can be mounted recessed into a wall. • The unit can be mounted on a standard goose-neck pedestal.
8 Entr y Sys tem Mounting (Continued) Recessed Mounting The cabinet can be mounted recessed using the accessory tr im-ring Model TR-100 (P/N A CP00941). The trim-r ing mounts in the w all and the cabinet attaches to the trim-ring. 1. Identify the location of any studs in the wall.

10 Multiple Unit T elephone Wiring Up to four AE-100 units ma y be connected to the same dedicated telephone line to form a simple network. Connecting multiple units allo ws transf erring programming data (either the director y entries only or the entire memory’s contents) from the “master” unit to the other sub-units.
