T urning the Phone On and Off T urning the Phone On 1) Install a charged batter y pack or connect the phone to an e xter nal power source such as the cigarette lighter adapter or car kit. 2) Hold down the K ey f or 2 seconds until the red indicator light (LED) at the top of the phone flashes.
Receiving Calls 1) When the phone rings or vibrate (if the Vibrate Mode is enabled), press an y key (e xcept ) to answer . • When you press once, when a call is receiv ed, the phone stops ringing or vibrating depending on the mode it is in. Press twice to disconnect.

ABC (Multi-tap) Mode Use ABC mode to add words to the T9 database. 123 (Numbers) Mode T ype numbers using one ke ystroke per number . T o change to 123 mode in a text entry field, press Soft K ey 2 until 123 mode is displa yed.
Adding W ords to the T9 Database If a word is not in the T9 database, add it b y using abc (Multi-tap) mode text entry . The word is automatically added to the T9 database when you return to T9 mode. F or example, f ollow these steps: 1. Press: Soft K ey 2 to change letter case to ABC (multi-tap) mode.
Find Name T o search for a phone n umber by name . 1. Press the Soft Ke y 2 Names . 2. Press the key Find Name . 3. Phone n umbers saved in the PHONE BOOK will appear in the order of alphabet regardless of type of character , capital or small.
