Get ting St ar t ed 18 Get ting Start ed Inst alling the USIM car d and bat te r y 1. Installing the USIM car d. Y our USIM car d contains y our phone number , service det ails and cont acts and must be inserted int o your handset.

With the arr o w facing y ou as shown in the diagr am push the plug on the bat tery adap t er int o the socke t on the left side of the phone until it clicks int o place.

Get ting Start ed 23 T urning your handset off Pre ss and hold until the pow er goes off . There ma y be a few seconds dela y while the handset po wer s do wn. Do not turn the handset on again during this time. Ac ce ss code s Y ou can use the access codes de scribed in this section t o a void unauthorised use of your phone.
Get ting Start ed 24 Get ting Start ed Securit y code (4 digits) The securit y code pr ev ents unauthorised use of your phone. The default securit y code is set t o ‘0000’ and the securit y code is r equired t o delet e all phone entries and t o r est or e the handset t o the fact ory set tings.
Get ting Start ed 25 Screen structur e The numbering scr een consists of sta tus indicat or s, dialled number and soft menu. St atus indicat or s ar e the same as those of the idle scr een. Y ou can change the size and colour of the dialling font in the Display se t tings menu.
Get ting Start ed 26 Get ting Start ed Barring passw or d This service obstructs calling service in some conditions. This condition can be edit ed using the Call barring featur e (#. Set tings > 4. Call set tings > 2. Call barring). The barring passw ord is requir ed when y ou use the call barring function.

Camer a 41 Menu Description The Pictures folder is launched and display s e xisting picture s as thumbnails. Y ou can view picture s by pressing . Y ou can also send the selected pictur e t o another party via Me ssage, P ostcar d, EMail or Bluetooth.

USIM T ool Kit USIM T ool Kit [Menu ] * 75 Depending on whether y ou ha ve S A T support services or not (i.e. USIM Application T oolkit) on the USIM card, this menu (Menu ) ma y be different. If the USIM card supports S A T services, this menu will be the oper at or -specific service name st ored on the USIM car d, for instance “Special” .

V ideo call 77 Y ou can accept the incoming call b y pre ssing the centre k e y [Accep t]. Also you can accep t the incoming call and show the priv at e image b y pr essing the left soft ke y [Priv at e]. The incoming call ringing can be silenced b y pre ssing the right soft ke y [Silent].
Set tings [Menu #] 78 Set tings Pr ofiles Menu #.1 Y ou can select ringt one or vibr ation for an incoming call and configure the sound and volume of the ringt one, k e y t one, and sound effect, according t o a profile.
Set tings 79 ] Confirmation t one Y ou can set the confirmation t one to be pla yed b y the phone to confirm actions. ] Start up sound Y ou can set the effect t o be pla y ed when the phone is switched on. ] Select start up sound Y ou can select which file will be pla yed when the phone is switched on.

Set tings 81 Handset lock Y ou can lock your phone. The follo wing 4 lock functions are a vailable. When switching on: Locks the handset whenev er the handset is switched on. If USIM changed: Locks the handset when the phone's USIM card ha s been changed.
