GB170/GB175 User Guide - English This guide will help you understand your new mobile phone . It will provide you with useful explanations of f eatures on your phone . Some of the contents in this manual may differ fr om your phone depending on the software of the phone or your service provider .
2 Getting to know your phone Handsfree connector Call key Dials a phone number and answers incoming calls. End/Pow er key Ends or rejects a call. T urns the phone on/ off.
3 Installing a memory card Open the battery cover and insert a micro SD card with the golden contact area facing downwards . Close the memory card cover so that it clicks shut. T o remove the memory card, gently push it as shown in the diag ram. Note: A memory card is an optional accessory.

6 Standby Mode When your phone is turned on but not in use, it is in the standby mode. In the standby mode, the screen displa ys Menu at the lower left corner of the screen and Contacts at the lower right corner of the screen. P ress Menu to enter the main menu or press C ontacts to enter contacts list.
7 Using the Menu In the standby mode, press the center key or the left soft key to view the main menu. Follo w below tips to navigate thr ough the menu and menu options: • T o view the menu, press the left soft key or the center key in the standby mode.
8 Basic way to select input method when editing SMS/ MMS message 1 Fr om the main menu, use the navigation keys to select Messages and press OK . 2 Select New message and press OK . 3 Select Te x t or Multimedia and press OK . 4 Press Options and select Set T9 to select a desired input method.
9 Answering and rejecting a call When your phone rings, press Accept or press to answer the call. Y ou can control the volumen b y pressing the side keys. Press or select Reject to reject the incoming call. TIP! You can change the settings on your phone to answer your calls in different ways.

11 T9 predictive mode T9 predictive mode uses a built-in dictionar y to recognise w ords you ’re writing based on the key sequences you press. Simply pr ess the number key associated with the letter you want to enter , and the dictionar y will recognise the word once all the lett ers are entered.
12 Multimedia MP3 play er Y our GB170/GB175 has a built-in Music player so you can pla y all your fav ourite music. Playing a song 1 Press Menu and select Multimedia , then choose MP3 player. 2 Choose All songs then select the song you want to play . T hen press center key to start playing.
13 V oice recor der Use your V oice recorder to r ecord voic e memos or other sounds. Note: After recording , the le is saved in AMR or W AV f ormat.
14 T ools Setting your alarm Y ou can set up to 5 alarm clocks to go off at a specified time. Using the calendar When you enter this menu, a calendar appears. A square cursor is located on the current date. Y ou can move the cursor to another date using the navigation keys.
