1 Introd uction Intr o duction Thank you for purchasing the Lexmark TM N5 Wirele ss Adapter ! The pr inter a dapter ma kes it easy for you to: • Share your pr inter between two or m ore networ k compu ters. • Locate your pr inter anywhere in your h ome or off ice.
2 Setup Step 1: Select a loca tion f or y our printer adapter Choosin g the cor rect lo cation for your new prin ter adapte r is vital to ens uring that it provides you with the qualit y of ser vic e y ou e x pect .
3 Setup Step 3: Prepare y our printer Unpack and set up your printer . F or help , ref er to the instr uctions th at came with your pr inter . T o help con figure your pr inter on the net work: Do not conn ect your pr inter to your comp uter ; howe ver , if you hav e alread y don e so , disc onnect the USB or pa rallel cable.

8 Setup Read the infor mation o n the scree n thoroug hly . It i s v er y impor tant that you un derstand the setup process. Thi s will h elp you to compl ete the step s in su bs equ ent util ity sc re ens . Click Continue . 8 9 Open the c onfig uration utili ty f or your compu ter’ s wireless adap ter.
9 Setup Change the values of your computer’s wireles s adapter ne twork sett ings t o the values shown o n the screen. Note: The SSID /Network nam e value is case sensiti v e a nd must be ent ered exactly as it appe ars on your sc reen.
10 Setup Click Continue . Select th e network to which you want to c onnect your prin ter . Note: If the networ k to which you w a nt to connect your pr inter is the s ame networ k to which your computer was connecte d, it may help you to refer to the values you wrote down in step on page 8.
11 Setup F ollow the inst r uctions on your scr een to restor e y our comput er’ s wirele ss adapter ne twork se ttings to thei r orig inal value. 12 Setup Step 10: Configure y ou r ne tw ork printer Follow the instr uctions f o r your printe r type. Inkjet printer s Use the pr inter s oftware to help c onfigure your network in kjet pri nter . If you hav e not already in stalled this sof tware, locate the CD that came with your printer now .
