Getting Started 3 Step 3: Prepare y our printer Unpack and set up your pr inter . F or help, refer to the ins truc tions tha t came with your pr inter. T o help co nfigure your pr inter on th e network , – Do not con nect your pr inter to your computer, how ev er , if you have already do ne so , discon nect th e USB or parallel cable.

Getting Started 9 F rom the Lexmark Solut ion Cen ter scree n, click the Advanced ta b . F rom the Advanced wi ndow , cl ick Networki ng. F rom the Networ king O ptions scree n, click Configure. On the Ne twork Co nfiguration screen, fi nd your network pri nter in the list of available prin ters.

Getting Started 15 Sele ct Lexmark Inkjet Net work ing from the pul l- down menu. Sele ct your networ k pr inte r . Click Add. The mai n Pr inter List sc reen bec omes the active screen ag ain. Click the red Cl ose button. F rom the Pr inter Selec tion s creen, cli ck Continue.

Getting Started 22 Print a test page F ollow the steps f or your operating system. Windo ws 1 Mak e sure y our prin ter is set as the def au lt printer and is not offline. For help , see Check the prin ter status on page 26. 2 F rom your deskt op , double-click the ico n for the Lexmark Soluti on Cent er .
