1 Learning about the All-In-One Setting up the All-In-One If yo u hav e not already done so , follo w the steps on the Set up Sheet to complete the hardware and so ftware installation. If problems occur d uring the setup process , see “Setup troub leshooting” on page 20.
2 Using the contr ol panel The All-In-One ha s a control panel that lets y ou scan and cop y with the press of a button. Note: Both the computer and the All-In-One m ust be turned on to make copies. USB cable P ower supply Silver , metal conta cts are o n the left side of the power supply .

6 Using Print Pr operties Print Pr oper ties is the sof tware that controls the All-In-On e printin g function. Y ou can change the sett ings in Print Proper ties based on the type of project y ou w ant to create . Y ou can open Pr int Proper ties from almost any pr ogra m: 1 F rom the program File menu, click Print .
7 Print Properties tabs All of the print settings are on the thr ee main tabs of the Print Proper ties softwar e: Quality/Copie s, P aper Setup , and Print La yout. Note: F or additional inf or mation about these setti ngs , right-click a setting on the screen, and then select the What’ s This? item.

10 Using the All-In-One The f ollowing sect ions give y ou ev erything you need to kn ow f or basic printing, scanning, co p ying, and f axing. Printing The Print Proper ties I W ant T o men u (see page 6) pro vides you with printing wizards to help you complete tasks such as print ing banners, photographs, or posters.
11 2 Squeez e and slide the paper guide t o the left edge of th e paper . 3 Make sure the All-In-One is turned on. 4 Click File Print . 5 In the Print dialog bo x, clic k the Properties , Preferences , Options , or Setup b utton (depending on the progr am).

17 Maintenance Replacing the print car t ridg es The Le xmark X1100 Series has been designed to print using the f ollowing car tridges. Note: Y ou can print using only the color car tr idge, or wit h both a color car tridge and a bl ac k car t ridge. F or inf ormation about ordering supplies, see page 8.
18 6 Inser t the ne w ca r tr idge. Make sure th e color print car tr idge is secure in the left carr ier and then snap the lid closed . If you are installing a b lac k print c ar tr idge, mak e sure that it is secure in the right carrier , and then snap the lid closed.

21 Alignment page does not print 1 Make sure you remove the stick er and transpar ent tape fr om the print car tridges. For help installing print car tr idges, ref e r to the setup documen tation. 2 Make sure the color cartr idge is secure in the left carr ier .
