1 1. Introduction The VOI-7000 / VOI-7100 IP Phone is an LCD V oIP Phone with SIP Pr otocols for V oice over IP (V oIP) applications. This user ‟s manual will expla in the ke y pad instructio ns and web configurations for the V oIP Phone.

10 3. W eb Configuration Y o u m ay enter the IP ad dr ess from P C W eb browser to configure IP Phone. For example, enter h ttp://192.168.1.100 from Web browser to disp lay login page as follows. Enter the username and p a ssword into the blank field.
11 System Informatio n After login, you will see t he system inform ation like firmware version, Co dec, etc in this page. Y o u may click the button list at the left hand side to configure the IP Phone.
12 3.1. Phone Book The Phone Book specifies pre-rec ord phone list and speed dialling functi on, it allows up to 140 rec ords on the phone book ..
13 Input the Position (0 ~139), Name and URL , then click the “Add Phone” b utton to enter . Note URL can be either com plete strings or num bers only , it depe nds on your ser vice provider . Example Phone Name URL Select 1 David 221 □ 2 Bill 221090@sipcall.
14 Sp eed Dial Setting For S peed Dial function y o u can add/delete S p eed Di al num ber up to maximum 10 entries in S peed Dia l Phone List..
15 If you need to add a p hone number into the S peed Dial list, you need to enter the position, the nam e, and the phone num ber (by URL type). W hen you finished a new phone l ist, just click the “ A dd Phone ” button .
16 3.2. Phone Setting The sub pages are as f ollows; Call Forward, S NTP , V olume, Mel ody (Ringer), DND, Auto Answer , Dial Plan, Flash Ti m e, Call Waiti ng, Soft -k ey , Hot line and Alarm func tions.
17 Call For w ard Y o u can have your i ncom ing calls f orwarded to a specif ied destinat ion. Y ou can select the forward m ode and enter the f orward URL. 19 SNTP Y o u can setup the prim ary and second SNT P Serv er IP Addres s, to get the date/time inform ation. Y ou m ay also set the T ime Zone, and ho w long need to synchr onize again. W hen you finished t he setting, pleas e click the “Submit” button.

22 Block Setting Y o u can setup the Block Setting to k eep the phone silence. Y ou m ay set this feature when you are in a m eeting or busy . Always Block All incoming call will be blocked when enabl.
23 Auto A nsw er Y o u ma y enabl e the Auto Answer function to ans wer the incoming call b y FXO port. W hen the ri ng cou nt exceeds the num ber set in Auto Answer Counter , the FXO port will auto answer and allow for extension calls from PSTN to V oIP and vice versa.
24 Auto A nswer Enable this function to answer the incoming calls f rom PSTN line automatically . It allows user to place call to Internet again. Auto A nswer Counter Set time period before p hone pick up the calls autom atically PIN Code Enabled Enable the call restriction f rom PST N line to V oIP or v ice versa.

26 Call W aiting Y o u can enable the cal l waiting function in this page. It allows answer i ng another com ing call by pressing flas h key while holdi ng the current call. Y ou may switch back to previous call by press ing flash k ey again. Note Flash key m eans On-hook and Off-hook in short period without hangin g up the cal l.
27 3.3. Net w ork Y o u can check the Network st atus, and conf igure the WA N, LAN, DDN S, VLAN , DMZ, Virtual Server and PPT P settings in this section.

29 Bridge The Bridge setting is used to configure the Ethernet port connects to the ADSL Modem/Router , or Ethernet switch..
30 Bridge W hen setting to Bridge Mode, the WAN and the LAN ports will be br idged. IP T ype There are three select ions for Bridge : Fixed IP , DHCP Client , an d PPPoE modes. For Fix IP Mode, please mak e sure the IP address. Net Mask , Gateway , and DNS settings are suitable in your current network environm ent.

32 DDNS Setting DDNS (D ynamic DNS) A service that lets anyone on the Internet gain access to resources on your local network when the Internet address of that network is constantly changing. W hen it detects that the IP address of the cable or DSL modem has changed, i t notif ies the DDNS service provider of the new address.
33 Y o u need to have a DDN S account bef ore configuring the DDNS set ting. Usually , m ost of the V oIP applications are working with a SIP Prox y S erver . Nonetheless, you m ay have a DDNS acc ount with a public I P addres s, and others can call you via the DDNS account.

35 Underst anding the SI P SIP , the Session Initiation Protocol, is a signalling pro tocol for Internet conferencing, telephon y , presence, e vents notification and instant mes saging.
36 Service Doma in Y o u ma y regist er up to three SIP accounts in the IP Phone . Y ou can ca ll your friends via firstly enabled SIP account and receive the phone calls from all the three SIP accounts. It supports 3 services, allo w user register on different service providers.

38 DTMF Setting Y o u can setup the opt ions for DTMF function in this page. The options include RFC2833 (Outband DTMF), Inband DTMF , and Send DTMF SIP info. T he default is set at Inban d DTMF . If you are making two-stage callings for ex tension to PSTN, you m ay need to select Outband DTMF option.

44 Other Setti ngs Y o u can setup the Hold b y RFC and QoS in th is page. T o change these settings please follows your ITSP inf ormation. The QoS is used to set the voice packet priority . H igher value other than zero will get higher priorit y for the voice packets in Internet.

47 ICMP Setting The ICMP function is to ech o w h en s omeone ping thi s device. T his can pre vent from hack er attacking the device by not echoing. ICMP Not Echo ICMP is used to acknowled ge and echo for the Ping request. IP Phone will echo for the IP Ping request at def ault.

49 Up date Firm w are The IP Phone provides two m ethods, HTT P or TFT P , to upd ate new firmware as the following steps: 1. Select the firm ware code type, Risc or DS P code. (m ostly for Risc code) 2. Click the “Browse” button to choose the update d file location for HTT P download, or 3.

62 5.1. PSTN Calling Applications: VOI-7100 is default at the V oIP mode. For PSTN c alls, you ma y just pick up the phone, press 0* key or PST N function key , and dial directly to the PSTN number like a norm al telephone.
63 5.2. SIP- to -SIP Calling Applications: The SIP- to -SI P ca lling works when both calling a nd an swering parties are registered to SIP server with give n registered phone n umbers. The ADSL connections can be as in either Diagrams A or B. Both parties are registered to SIP server under NA T router .

75 7. T rouble Shooting 7.1. Do not hear dial tone? W hen y ou pick up the phone and hear a bus y ton e, it indicates the W AN po rt is NOT connected. The LCD will show Etherne t Error! Mak e sure the ADSL Ethernet cable is con nected to the WAN port of IP Ph one and Power Reset again.
