30 6.3.2.2 HTTPS The H TTPS setting ca n be found under t his path: Sy stem> Sec urity> HTTPS. <HTTPS> allows se cure connecti ons betwee n the IP Ca mera and w eb browser using < Secure Socke t Layer (SSL) > or <Transpor t Layer S ecurity ( TLS)>, whi ch ensure camer a settings or Usernam e/ Passw ord info fro m snooping .

32 6.3.2.3 IP Filte r The IP F ilter setti ng can be found un der this p ath: System> Sec urity> IP Fil ter. Using the IP filter, access to t he IP Cam era can b e restr icted by denying /allow ing specific IP addresses. Enable IP Filter Check th e box to en able the IP F ilter fu nction.
33 6.3.2.4 IEEE 802.1X The IEEE 802.1X set ting can b e found u nder this p ath: Syst em> Secur ity> IEEE 802.1X. The IP C amera is allowed to acce ss a netw ork protect ed by 802.

QoS allow s provi ding differen tiated serv ice lev els for differ ent types o f traffic packets , which g uarantees deli very of prior ity serv ices especi ally when network congesti on occurs.
40 RTSP/HTTP . Audio DSCP This set ting is o nly avail able for the IP Cameras that supp ort audio. M anagemen t DSCP The class consists of HTTP traffic: W eb browsing. NOTE: To enable t his functio n, please make sure t he swi tches/ route rs in the ne twork su pport QoS.
41 6.3.3.3 SNMP The SNMP (Simple N etwor k Management Pr otocol) s etting ca n be f ound under this pa th: System> Netw ork> SNMP. W it h Simpl e Network Management Protocol (SNMP) support, t he IP Camer a can be monitored an d managed r emotely by the netw ork manag ement sy stem.

46 6.3.5 Mail The Mail setting can be found under t his path: S ystem> Mai l. The Administ rator can send an e - m ail via Simple Mail Tran sfer Prot ocol (SMT P) when ev ent is trig gered. SM TP is a prot ocol for sending e - mai l messages between se rvers.

75 6.4 Streaming Under the tab <Streaming>, there a re submenus including: <Video Format>, <Video Compression>, <Video ROI>, <Video OCX Protocol>, <Video Frame Rate>, <Video Mask>, and <Audio>.
76 6.4.1 Video Resol ut i on an d Ro tate Ty pe The Video Format setting can be found under this path: Streaming> Video Format. Under Video Resolution se ction, the available video resolution formats are including MJPEG and H.264. Video Resol uti on Click on <Save> to conf irm the setting.
77 types include Normal, Flip, Mi rror, 90 degree c lockwise, 180 de gree rotate and 90 degree counterclockwise. The following is descriptions for different video rotate t ype. Flip If select <Fli p >, the imag e will be rotated vertically. Mirr or If select <Mirror>, the image will be rotated h orizontally.
78 6.4.2 Video Compres sion The Vid eo Compressi on setti ng can be found under this path : Streami ng> Video C ompression. Hig her value impl ies higher bit rates and high er visual quality . The default setting of MJPEG Q factor is 35; the set ting rang e is from 1 to 70.
79 The CBR ( Constant Bit Rate) mode could b e the pre ferred bit r ate mode i f the bandw idth avail able is li mited. It is i mportant to take acc ount o f image qual ity whi le choosing to us e CBR mo de. CBR Mode Se tting Click on <Save> t o confirm t he setting .
80 Video ROI Se tting Enable Stream 2 ROI Setting Check the box and Stream 2 ROI W indow will be displayed. To change the size of Stream 2 ROI W indow, move the mouse cursor to the e dge of the frame and draw it outward/inward. Moving the mouse to the center of the frame can shift the frame to the intended location.
81 6.4.4 Video OCX Pr ot ocol The Video OCX Protocol setting can be found under this path: Streaming> Video OCX Protocol. In the Video OCX protocol setting page, use rs can select RTP over UDP, RTP over RTSP (TCP), RTSP o ver HTTP or MJPEG o ver HTTP for streaming video over the network.
82 6.4.5 Video Fr ame Ra te The Video Frame Rate setting can be f ound under this path: Stream ing> Video Frame Rate. Video frame rate is for settin g the frames per second (fps) if necess ary. The default setting of MJPEG/H.264 - 1/H.26 4 - 2/ H.264 - 3/ H.
83 6.4.6 Video Mask The Video Mask setting can be found unde r this path: Streaming> Video Mask. A cti ve Mask Function Add a Mask Check a Video Mask checkbo x, and a red fram e will come out in th e Live Video pane at the right side. Use the mouse to drag and drop to adjust the mask’s size and place it on the target zone.
84 Mask Setting Mask color The selections of Mask colo r include red, black, white, yellow, green, blue, cyan, and ma genta. Click on < Save> to confirm the setting. 6.4.7 Audio (Audio Mode and Bit Rate Settings) The Audio Mode setting can be found unde r this path: Streaming> Audio.

The exp osure is the amount of lig ht recei ved by the i mage senso r an d is deter mined by t he width of le ns diaphr agm openi ng, the a mount of exposu re by the se nsor (sh utter speed) and o ther exp osure parame ters.

89 6.5.3 Brigh tness S ett i ng The Pi cture A djust ment ca n be foun d under this path: C amera> Picture Adjus tment. Users can adj ust th e image’ s brig htness by adj usting t he ite m. Ple ase sel ect ran ging f rom - 12 to + 13. To i ncrease vide o bri ghtness, select a big ger num ber.
