Hardware M anual 10 Before Installa tion This section desc ribes the procedures in preparing the externa l devices that you can connect to the camera. Depend ing on your sur veillance needs, you ma y connect digital input (DI) or dig ital output (DO) or audio i nput / output dev ices to your cam era.

Hardware M anual 12 High Voltage DO Device Connection Even though the cam era provides 12V po wer, this m ay not be enough for s ome high voltage DO devices, such as a cei ling li ght or a motor that ope ns or closes a gate. In this case , there is a need to connect an ext ernal relay.
Hardware M anual 13 How to Connect A udio Devices Audio input / output de vices, such as an active micr ophone or speak er can be connecte d to the camera using the supp lied term inal block. Press and hold the orange tab as you insert the wire through the pin slot, then release the orange tab to secure the wire.
Hardware M anual 14 Installing the Camera on a Surface This section describes the procedures in installing the camera on a flat s urface such as a har d or dropped ceiling and s traight or tilted walls. Before insta llation, mak e sure the wall or the ce iling can bear m ore than the weight of th e camera.
Hardware M anual 15 Step 2: Open the Do me Cover NOTE: T o avoid scratches or leaving fingerprints on th e dome cover , it is recommended to r etain the plastic covering the dom e cover until the c amera is com pletely installed. 1. W ith the bundled hex screwdriver , loosen the three (3 ) screws securing the dome cover .
Hardware M anual 16 4. If the cables will be rout ed along the ceiling or wall, remove the cable ta b from the dom e cover . 5. If the cables will pass thr ough the ceiling or wall, route and pu ll the cables thr ough the hole on the surf ace. Step 3: Install the Ca mera to the Surface 1.
Hardware M anual 17 CAUTION: When us ing electric screwdrivers, be caref ul not to touch the cam era components while attaching the screws. Since electric screwdrivers vary in sizes, speed, and force, they ma y bruise and dam age the camera com ponents.

Hardware M anual 20 Other Adjustments and Acce ssories How to A dj ust the Camera Viewing A ngle and Focus This section desc ribes procedures in a djusting the pa n direction of the camera , as well as the viewing angle and focus , if necessar y since the camera com es with the focus and viewing angle already pre-fixed.
Hardware M anual 21 1. Loosen the tilt adjustm ent scr ews, adjust the tilt, and th en tighten back the screws to fix the tilt position. 2. Turn the rotation adjustm ent to rotate the vie wing orientati on. 3. Loosen the pan adjustm ent screw , m ove the pan direction, and th en tighten back the screw to fix the pan pos ition.

Hardware M anual 23 4. Remove the shroud f rom the dome cover . 5. Place the shroud on the replacem ent dome cover . 6. Insert the replacem ent dome cover into th e cover housing. 7. Align and attach the thre e (3) s crews to secur e the brack et to the cover housin g.
Hardware M anual 24 8. Attach the dom e cover to the cam era by tightening the three (3) screws. Final installation should look sim ilar to the illustration be low .
Hardware M anual 25 How to Use a Memory Card The camera s upports local video rec ording or sa ving of snapshots to a m emor y card. NOTE: Supports m icroSDHC and microSDX C cards. How to Insert the Memory Card Insert a mem ory card into the card slot with the metal lic contacts facing do wn the camera.
Hardware M anual 26 Accessing the Camera Configure the IP A ddresses In order to b e able to com m unicate with t he c amera from your PC, b oth th e camera and the PC have to be within the same network segment.
Hardware M anual 27 Double-click on the camera m odel name, the default browser of the PC is automatically launc hed and the IP address of the target cam era is alread y filled in the address b ar of the bro wser .
Hardware M anual 28 Use the default I P address of a c amera: If there is no DHCP server in the give n network, the us er m ay have to assign the IP addresses to both PC and cam era manuall y to make sure the y are in the sam e network s egment.
Hardware M anual 29 Manually adjust the I P addresses of multiple cam eras: If there are more than 1 cam era to be used in the same local area network and there is no DHC P server to assign unique IP addresses to each of them , all of the cameras would then have the initial IP address of 192.
Hardware M anual 30 Access the Ca mera Now that the cam era and the PC are bot h having their unique IP addresses and a re under the same network s egment, it is possible to use the Web b rowser of the PC to access the cam era.
