Before Y ou Use This Product The u se of surveillance devices may be prohibited by law in your country . The Network Camera is not only a high-performance web-ready cam era but also can be part of a flexible surveillance system.
- 1 - Overview The LevelOne FCS-0 031 is designed fo r 24h rs home surv eillance. It provides a distinct and stylish des ign, with excellent features a nd quality, p roviding mu ltiple applications and a wide range of coverage. Users can view the live motion image a nywhere through a w eb browser via the I nternet.

- 4 - <Hardware Reset > The reset button is u sed to reset the system or restore the fact ory default settings. Sometimes resetting the system can return the camera to normal operation. If the problems remain after reset, please restore the fa ctory settings and install it again.

- 6 - Camera Connection Basic Connection 1. Connect the supplied pow er cable from the camera to the power outlet. 2. Connect the camera to a switch via Ethernet cable. Please ch eck your p roduct packa ge contains all the accessories liste d in the foregoing Package Contents.

- 10 - 2. Do no t check the box if user would like to check the hardware installation settings, Otherwise click “Skip the hardware i nstallation” to skip t he hardware connection checking, the program will automatica lly search for the Network Camera in the Int ranet.
- 11 - 3. Sele ct the Network Camera from the survey list and enter the user nam e and password. The user name and password are assigned as “ admin/admi n ”.
- 12 - 4. Sett ing the Network Camera IP address User can either select simple mode or professional mode for n etwork camera IP setting. If simple mode is selected, the easy configuratio n program will set up the connection automatically .
- 13 - 5. Plea se make sure the internet connection is ready then start to do the internet discovery , otherwise click “Skip” to fin ish the setting. The default domain name is MA C address; you can also register with your own name on-line. 6. After finish se tting, the co nnection successful or fail showed.
- 14 - Access to the Network Camera Check Network Settings The Network Camera can be connected either b efore or immediately after software installation on to t he Local A rea Ne twork. Th e Administrator should complete the ne twork settings on t he configuration page, including the correct subnet mask and IP address of gateway and DNS.
- 15 - A uthenti cation After open ing the W eb browser and typing in the URL of the Network Camera, a dialogue window pops up to request a username and passw ord. T he user name and password for the Administrator are as signed as “ admi n/admin ”.
- 16 - Inst alli ng plug-in For the initia l access to the Network Camera in W indows, the web browser may prompt for permission to inst all a new plug-in f or the Network Came ra on the Internet Explorer. Permission request depe nds o n the Internet se curity set tings o f the user ’s PC or notebook.
- 17 - Live V iew Live View is the default page that o pens when acce ssing t he Network Cam era. Live video is displayed directly in the bro wser wi ndo w . Stream1/St ream2 Channels The network came ra offers simulta neous d ual stream fo r o ptimized quality and bandwidth.
- 18 - TCP - Th is protocol guaran tees the complete d elivery of streaming data and thus p rovides better video quality. N evertheless, the do wnside with this protocol is that its real-time effect is not as good as that of the UDP protoco l. UDP - This protocol allows for m ore real-time audio and video stream s.

Contrast - Drag the slider b ar to adjust the image contrast level, which ranges from -5 to +5. Sharpness - Drag the slider bar to a djust the image sh arpness level, which ranges f rom -5 to +5.

Stream 1 & Stream 2 Video Codec - The Network Came ra offers three choices of video codec standa rds f or real-time viewing: H.

- 27 - Net w ork IP Setting This section explains how to configure wired network conn ection f or the Network Camera. There are several ways to setup the Network Camera over the In ternet . The first way is to obtain an available dynamic I P addres s assigned b y a DHCP server.
- 28 - DHCP - Ge t IP address automatically. S elect this option to obtain an a vailable dynamic I P address assigned by a DHCP server each time the camera is connected to the LAN. Static IP - Sel ect this option t o manually assign a static IP address to the Network Camera.

DDNS (dynamic domain name se rvice) DynDNS - Enable the DDNS service allows your Ne twork Camera, especially when assigned with a dy namic IP address, to h ave a f ixed ho st and domain name. Note that before u tilizing this function; please apply a dynam ic domain account first.
- 30 - TZO TZO - TZO is one k ind of the DDNS providers. User can refer to the T ZO.com : visit http://www.tzo.com/ to apply a d ynamic domain a ccount when selecting this DDNS provider. Enter the e-mail add ress, password and domain name when enabled the TZO.
- 31 - HTTP/HTTPS HTTP - This protocol allows the same quality as TCP protocol without needing to open specific ports for streaming under some network environments.
- 32 - Detection Setting - Select and enable th e mo tion d etection windows f unction. Easier to trigger event by higher the sensitivity value and lo wer the Threshold value.

- 34 - Email Password - Enter the password of the email account if necessary. Click Apply or Reset to ta ke effect. Samba - Select to send the n etwork f ile sy stem media files via n etwork neighborhood w hen a trigger is activated. IP Address - Enter the IP a ddress of the samba server.
- 35 - Click Apply or Reset to ta ke effect. HTTP - Select to send the media files to a HTTP server when a trigger is activated . URL - Enter the URL of the HTTP se rver.
- 36 - Scheduled Event Click New to open the recording sett ing page. In this page, you can define the recording schedule and recording capacity. Name - Enter a descriptive name for the recording setting. Event - Select from the drop-down menu for the re cording or rebooting event.
- 37 - PIR Enable PIR sensor to dete ct a moving infrared object such as a person in the dark. Sensitivity - is used to adjust the sensitivity of the PIR Sensor from 10 - 100%. The default sensitivity is 50%. By increasing the sensi tivity , the range of the P IR S ensor is also increased.
- 38 - System System Log Log - To send a system log to the network came ra when a trigger is activated. This page d isplays the system ’s log in chronological order. T he system log is stored in the Network Camera’s buffer area and will be overwritten when reaching a certain amount.
