Page 18 506728−01 Evacuating Line Set and Indoor Coil Evacuating the system of non−condensables is critical for proper operation of the unit. Non−condensables are defined as any gas that will not condense under temperatures and pressures present during operation of an air conditioning system.

Page 29 XP14 SERIES auto−reset switch closes when the compressor casing temperature falls to 151−187°F (66°C−86°C), and the compressor is re−energized. This single−pole, single−throw (SPST) bi−met allic switch is wired in series with the 24V Y input signal to control compressor operation.

The high pressure switch (S4) is factory-connected to the defrost control’s HI PS terminals (see figure 24). The defrost control also includes a low pressure, or loss-of-charge-pressure, switch (S87).
