11 Preparation of Remote C ontrol Follow the steps below to install th e battery . 1. Pull the battery holder out fro m the remote control in the dire c tion of the arrow . 2. Load a new battery prop erly with the (+) sided up. 3. Insert the battery holder ba ck into the original position.
12 Always ensure that the DVD player , TV and any other electrical equipment to be connected with are switched o ff and unplug ged from the power suppl y .
13 Connecting to a TV Use the A V cables to connect the external TV set to the A V input jacks on the left side of the unit, as show below : Connecting to An Amplif ier Refer to your audio equipment' s manual before conne ction.
14 Using the AC Ad apter The player is supplied with an AC adapter for powe ring the unit a nd charging the battery . Note: 1. Tur n player's pow er off before unplugg ing. 2. In the c ase of using the adapter , the LCD s creen will be brighter than using t he rechargeable battery .
15 About Rech argeable Batt ery Pack Y our player comes with a build-in lithium rechargeab le battery . Charge the battery fully before initial use. Charging t ime is n ormally about 5 hours. A f ully charged battery delivers about 3 hours of use but playing time varies from disc to disc.
16 Before operation: 1. Plug the ex ternal antenna or the connecting line of CA TV to the TV signal jack on t he left panel of the player and put the player in TV mode. (make sure the A V -switch is set to “OUT”) 2. Press the SETUP button on the remote control or the menu bu tton on the panel to display the setup menu.
17 4. SKIP Y ou can u se this item to skip the chan nels that you don’t want to w atch. Highlight CHANNEL. Press the or button to select the channel you want to skip. Then highligh t SKIP . Press the / button to select SKIP OFF or ON.

20 In TV Mode In TV m ode, press the SET U P button to dis play the s etup menu. P re ss the or button to shift among PICTURE SETUP , TV SETUP and FUNCTION. Press the SETUP button again to exit. Note: the PICTURE SE TUP menu and the FUNCTION menu are the same with those in DVD mode.

42 If you suspect there is so mething w rong with the DVD play er , immediatel y turn the pow er off . Disconnect th e pow er conn ector and check that there is no smoke or excessive heat coming from the unit. Never open or try to repair the unit yourself.
