KRAMER E LECTRON ICS LTD. 14 9.3 The Internal Trimmers The tri mmers are internally located and are accessed through h oles in the switch er base (see section 14.2 “ Weak Switcher Video Signals” ). These allow you, if necessary, to adjust the switch er out put signal level and cable compensation.

KRAMER E LECTRON ICS LTD. 16 11. CONNECTING TO A PC To connec t directly t o a PC wi thout using the KRAMER N ull-Modem Adapter, make connections as in Figure 1. To use t he KRAMER A dapter instead ( recomme nded), p lug one end i nto the PC ' s serial port, then connect from the other end to the switcher using a 9-pin flat-cable .
KRAMER E LECTRON ICS LTD. 17 12.2.1 Selecting an Input on the Switchers Input selection on the switchers described i n this manual i s simply made b y pressing but tons marked “ 1 ” , “ 2 ” etc. on the fr ont panel, o r by operating your preferred r emote device (see "KRAMER Switcher Remote Co ntrol Options").
KRAMER E LECTRON ICS LTD. 18 3. Connect the output from video sou rce #1 to the fir st switcher input #1, then to the second switcher input #1 using a T or Y connec tor. Repeat for source #2 and input #2, etc. 4. Connect one acceptor to the output o f one s witcher and another acceptor to t he output of the o ther switcher.

Each switcher in the configuration should be allocated a unique machine number and the "Reply" option should be to “ ON” (see Table 3, "Table of DIP Switch Settings").

The pict ure jumps and r olls, and the c olor is lost until the accept or (a VCR, f or example) has rea djusted itself to the new color inf ormation.
