English 10 Getting Started The e-mini M comes with standard accessories such as batteries, and strap. This sec- tion sho ws ho w y ou can use them with the camera. Basic camera operations ar e also described in this section. Inserting Batteries The battery compartment is located the bottom of the camera.
English 11 Using the Po w er Adapter (Optional A ccessory) If y ou pr ef er to operate the camera on A C po wer , a Po w er Adapter (5v/2.4a) is av ailable. Simply connect the po w er adapter into the DC IN port on the camera, and then plug the po w er adapter into a w all socket.
English 12 Note T o r emov e the Compact Flash memory card, push the Eject button located next to the card slot. English 17 Defining the TV Output Bef or e y ou can view pictur es on your TV , y ou need to identify first what TV standard y our television uses. If y ou hav e an NTSC standard TV , set the camera to NTSC. If y ou hav e a P AL standard TV , set the camera to P AL.
English 18 Do wnloading Pictur es into y our PC Once y our camera’ s memory or the inserted Compact Flash Card is full, y ou can erase the pictur es and take more pictur es. If y ou w ant to keep the pictur es you hav e taken, y ou should sav e them first b y transferring them to y our computer.
English 19 In order to transfer files betw een e-mini M and PC, you need to install the Multimedia Camera Manager which is included in the DSC Application Suite. It is pro vided with auto-setup pr ogram. Once y ou insert Disk 1 into the CD-ROM driv e, the DSC Application Suite main menu will appear.
English 20 Using e-mini M as an MP3 Play er T o use the e-mini M as an MP3 Play er, y ou need to first transf er MP3 songs from y our PC into the camera. This section tells y ou wher e y ou can get MP3 files as w ell as how to upload them into camera and then play them.
