Getting started 2 Charging the battery Charge the Li-Ion rechargeab le battery before first use . 1 Insert the battery into the charger . 2 Insert the plug that matc hes your electrical outlet. 3 Plug the charger into the outlet. 4 Remove the battery and unplug the ch arger when the light turns green.

T aking pictures and videos 9 Camera modes Use this mode For Auto General picture-taking. Automatically sets exposure, focus, and flash. Portrait Full-frame portraits of people. Subject is sharp and the background is indistinct. Automatically fires a low-leve l fill flash for softening shadows.
T aking pictures and vide os 10 Scene modes (SCN) Use this mode For Night Landscape Distant scenery at night. Night Portrait Reducing red-eye in pictures of people i n night scenes or low-light conditions. Place the ca mera on a flat, steady surface or use a tripod.
