4 Electrical Requirements Observe all governi ng codes and ordinances. Required: ■ A 120 V olt, 60 Hz, AC only , 15- or 20-amp electrical supply with a fuse or circuit breaker . Recommended: ■ A time-delay fuse or time-del ay circuit br eaker . ■ A separate circuit servin g only this appliance.
5 PARTS AND FEATURES This manual may cover several dif ferent models. The model you have purchased may have some or all of the feat ures shown here. T he appearance of your particular mo del may dif fer slightly from the illustrations in this manual.
6 T o Install: 1. Place the support on the microwave oven cavity bottom. 2. Place the turntabl e on the support. Fit the raised, curved lines in the center of the turntable bottom between the three spokes of the hub. The rollers on the support should fit inside the tur ntable bottom ridge.
7 MICROWAVE OVEN CONTROL The microwave oven’ s controls are accessed t hrough its control panel and interacti ve touch di splay . NOTE: Due to the se nsitivity of the con trol pane l, we have pr ovided special instructio ns for cleaning the panel as well as the touch screen display .
8 Main Menu The Main Menu is displaye d on the default scre en. From the Main Menu, all auto matic cooking pr ograms can be activated; all manual cooking can be programmed; settings can be adjusted; and instructions, preparation and tips can be accessed.
9 While the poultry breasts are being pan browned, the cooking animation and countdown are active in the display . About halfway through the cycle, the microwave oven will stop, and the display will dire ct you to tur n over the poultry breasts. 7. T ouch “Continue” to resume pan browning.
10 Clock This is a standard 12-hour clock (12:00 AM-11:59 PM). When power is first supplied to the mi cr owave oven, or after a power failure, the “W elcome” screen will appear , asking whether you would like to set the clock. If yo u ch oose to set the clock at that time, the display will take you di rectly to the Clock scre en.
11 Learning Mode The Lear ning Mode is i deal for lear ning h ow to use the microwa ve oven. When se t, functions can be enter ed, with r eal displays and tones, without actu ally turning on the microwave generator (magnetron).
12 Timer The Timer can be set in minutes and seconds, up to 99 minutes, and counts down the set time. NOTE: The Timer does not start or stop the microwave oven. While the Timer is in u se, the micr owave oven ca n still operate. During a microwave oven operation, th e Timer countdown will be minimized.
13 TRUCAPTURE ® Vent Fan and Cooktop Lights The microwave oven’ s hood controls, on the lower , left side of the microwave oven (see “Parts and Features”) operate the vent fan and cooktop lights. TRUCAPTURE ® Ve n t F a n The vent fan has 3 r egular speeds: hi gh, medium and low .
14 MICROWAVE OVEN USE A magnetr on in the oven pr oduces microwave s which r eflect of f the metal floor , wall s and ceiling and pass through the turntable and appropriate cookware to the food.
15 Cookware and Dinnerware Cookware and dinnerware must fit on the turntable. Always use oven mitts or pot hold ers when hand ling because any dish may become hot fr om heat transferr ed fr om the food. Do not use cookware and dinnerware with gold or silver trim.
16 MANUAL COOKING Add a Minute The ADD A MINUTE control automatically starts the microwave oven at 100% power for 1 minut e, and adds 1 min ute of cook time, up to 10 minutes, with each additional t ouch of the control.
17 Keep Warm Hot cooked food can be kept warm in the microw ave oven. The Keep W arm function uses 10% cook power . Keep W arm can be used by itself, or it can be pr ogrammed to follow a cooking cycle. See “Cooking in Stages” section. ■ Cover plates of food.
18 PROGRAMMED COOKING Sensor Cooking Some automatic cyc les ar e sensor cycles . See “Cook Method Chart.” No amounts need to be entered. A sensor in the microwave oven detects humidity re leased fr om the food as it heats, and adjusts the cook ti me accordingly .
19 Using Food Type The Food T ype menu has 12 methods fr om which to choose. This menu allows you to choose what specific food item you want to cook, and then choose how you would like to cook it, if there is mor e than 1 cook meth od available. All cook methods and foods are available through this menu.
20 Cook The Cook menu has a selection of main food categories, plus a shortcut to Manual Cook (see “M anual Method C ooking” section) See “Cook Method Chart” for food item details, such as sensor functions, convection fun ctions and amounts.
