8 Main Men u The Ma in Me nu is di spla yed on t he de fault s cre en. From th e Main Menu, all automatic cooking progr ams can be activat ed; all manu al cooking can be programmed; s ettings can be a djust ed; an d ins tru ctio ns, p re pa rat ion an d tip s ca n be accessed.

10 Clock This is a sta ndar d 12-hou r clock (12: 00 AM -11:59 P M). Wh en power is first su pplied to the microwav e oven, or after a po wer failure, the “W elcome” screen will appear , asking wheth er you would like to set the clock. If you choose to set the clock at that ti me, the disp lay w ill take y ou directly to t he Clock screen.
11 Learnin g Mo de The Lear ning Mode is i deal for lear ni ng how to use the microwave oven. Wh en set, fun ctions can be entered, wit h real displa ys and ton es, with out actuall y tur ning on the mic rowave generator (magne tron).
12 Ti m e r The Timer can be set in minute s and second s, up to 99 minutes, and counts d own the s et time. NOTE : The Timer does not start or stop t he microwave oven. While the Timer is in use, the microwave ove n can still operat e. During an microwave oven operation, t he Timer countdown will be minimiz ed.

14 MICROWAVE OVEN USE A magnetron in the ov en produces microwaves which reflect off the metal floor , walls and ceili ng and pass through th e turn tabl e and appropriate cookware to the food.
15 Cookware and Din nerware Cookware and dinnerware must fi t on the tur nt able. Al ways use oven mitts or pot holders when handli ng because any dish may become hot from heat transf erred from the food. Do not use cookwar e and d innerwar e with gold or sil ver trim.
16 MANUAL COOKING Add a Mi nute The ADD A MINUTE control automat ically s tarts the microwave oven at 100% po wer for 1 minute, an d adds 1 min ute of cook time, up to 10 minutes, with each addit ional touch of the control.
17 Keep W arm Hot cooked food can be ke pt warm in the microwave oven. The Keep W arm function uses 10% cook power . Keep W arm can be used by i tself, or it can be p rogrammed to follow a cookin g cycle. See “Cooking in Stages” sect ion. ■ Cover plates of food.
18 PROGRAMM ED COOKING Sensor Cooking Some automatic cy cles are sensor cycles . See “Cook Method Chart.” No amount s need to be en tered. A se nsor in the microwave oven detect s humidit y released from the food as it heats, and adjusts th e cook time accordingly .
19 Using Cook Method The Cook Method menu has 8 methods from which to choose. This menu a llows y ou to st art with the type of cooking you want, and then ch oose your speci fic food ite m. All food ite ms are availa ble th ro ugh this menu. See each meth od’ s respect ive sec tion in th is manual for method details .
20 Boil & Simmer The Boil & Simmer menu has a selection of main food ca tegories, plus a shortc ut to Ma nual Boil & Si mmer (see “Man ual Meth od Cooking” section). Boil & Simmer is a sensor functi on. See “Cook Meth od Chart” for s pecific food items and amounts .
