7 Gas Supply Requirements Observe all governing codes and ordinances. IMPORT ANT : This installation must conf or m with all local codes and ordinances. In the absence of local codes, installation must conf or m with American National Standard National Fuel Gas Code ANSI Z223.

A combination of pipe fi ttings must be used to connect the grill to the e xisting gas line. • If local codes permit, use an outdoor fl e xible stainless steel tubing gas connector , design-cer tifi ed b y CSA Inter national, to connect the grill to the rigid gas supply line.
11 3. Open shutoff valv e in the gas supply line. The valve is open when the handle is parallel to the gas pipe. 12 4. T est all connections by brushing on an approv ed noncorrosive leak-detection solution. Bubbles will show a leak. Correct any leak f ound. Assemble cooking area 1. Open the hood. 2. F or models equipped with rotisser ie , remov e the rotisser ie’ s ske wer from the grill.
13 Check and Adjust the Burners The burners are tested and factory-set for most effi cient oper ation. Howe ver , variations in gas supply and other conditions may mak e minor adjustments to air shutter or low fl ame setting necessary . It is recommended that a qualifi ed person make b ur ner adjustments.

15 Using the Side Burner WARNING Burn Hazard Do not let the burner flame e xtend beyond the edge of the pan. Doing so can result in burns. Remov e the side burner cover . Do not light burners with the cover on. Lighting the side burner 1. Do not lean ov er the grill.
16 Lighting the rotisserie b urner 1. Do not lean ov er the grill. 2. Push in the rotisserie burner knob and tur n the knob to “LITE/HI”. Y ou will hear the “snapping” sound of the spar k. 3. When the rotisserie bur ner lights , continue to hold the knob in f or another 10 seconds, then release the knob and burner will sta y lit.
17 Cooking Methods F or optimal use of the Sure Sear TM system, the following cooking methods are recommended. Direct Heat Cooking by Direct Heat means the f ood is placed on gr ill g rates directly abov e lighted burners. Hood position affects total cooking time.

21 Cleaning General Cleaning IMPORT ANT : Before cleaning, mak e sure all controls are off and the grill is cool. Always f ollow label instructions on cleaning products. F or routine cleaning, wash with soap and water using a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse with clean water and dry at once with a soft, lint- free cloth to av oid spots and streaks.
