4 Electrical Requirements Observe all governi ng codes and or dinances. Required: ■ A 120 V olt, 60 Hz, AC only , 15- or 20-amp electrical supply with a fuse or circuit breaker . Recommended: ■ A time-delay fuse or time-del ay circuit breaker . ■ A separate circuit servin g only this appliance.
5 PARTS AND FEATURES This manual may cover several dif ferent models. The model you have purchased may have some or all of the features shown here. T he appearance of your particular mo del may dif fer slightly from the illustrations in this manual. Turntable The turntable can rota te in either dir ection to help cook food more evenly .
6 Start The ST ART pad begins any functi on. If non-sensor cooking is interrupted, touching ST ART will r esume the preset cycle. If sensor cooking is interrupted, touching ST ART will resume the cycle only if the sensor already has estimated the cook time, and the countdown is act ive in the display .
7 Control Lock The Control Lock shuts down the control panel pads to avoid unintended use of the microwave oven. When the control panel is locked, none of the contr ols will function. If a control pad is to uched, “LOC” will appear in the display and invalid entry tones will sound.
8 Cookware and Dinnerware Cookware and dinnerware must fit on the turntable. Always use oven mitts or pot hold ers when hand ling because any dish may become hot fr om heat transferr ed fr om the food . Do not use cookware and dinnerware with gold or silver trim.
9 Cook Time Set Cook time may be set in the follo wing incr ements, in minutes and seconds: To U s e : 1. T ouch COOK TIME, then turn the dial to desired cook time or touch COOK TIME r epeatedly to incr ease cook time. See chart for time increments. If cooking at 100% power , ski p Step 2.
10 Meal Prep Reheat Times and cooking power have been preset for re heating specific food types. Use the following chart as a guide. * For smaller r olls, 2 rolls may be coun ted as 1 piece. T o Use the Reheat Contro l: 1. T ouch REHEA T . The display will show “1” for the first food type.
11 Sensor Cooking A sensor in the microwave oven detects humidity released from the food as it heats, and adju sts the cook time accordingly . Many sensor cycles require the covering of foods. Microwave- safe containers or steamers with loose-fitting lids are recommended.
12 Keep Warm Hot cooked food can be kept warm in the microw ave oven. The Keep W arm function uses 10% cook power . Keep W arm can be used by itself or can be pr ogra mmed to follow a cooking cycle. ■ Cover plates of food. ■ Cover foods that were covered while being cooked.
13 MICROWAVE OVEN CARE General Cleaning IMPORT ANT : Before cleaning, make sure all controls are of f and the microwave oven is cool. Always follow label instructions on cleaning products. Soap, water and a soft cloth or sponge are suggested unless otherwise noted.
