8 PRO 450 Model Only The 450 treadmill is equipped with a locking foot safety latch on the right side of the base frame. T O LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE: Place both ha nds onto up per end of treadm ill. Usin g your right foo t, depress t he safety latch and gently l ower the trea dmill to the floor.
9 Mo ving Instr uctions After opening the box, remo ve any packing materials from the treadmill. Do no t throw away any packing materials until the unit is working properly. Pl ace the b ase on a clean, level surface. Make sure the electrical cord will easily r each an electrical outlet.
10 Adju sting th e Inc line – PR O 450 Onl y 1) Raise the treadmill to the u pright pos ition, making sure the safety latch engages. 2) Pull the round black pop pin handl e. With the other hand, g rab one of the whee ls to use a s a lever. Adjust the incline by moving th e wheel u p or down.
11 W ar m Up Ex er cises NING! WARM UP FIRST ! Warming up prepares the body fo r e xercise by increasing ci rculation, supplying more oxygen to the muscles and rais ing body temperatur e. Begin each wo rkout with 5 to 10 minutes of stretching and light exercise to warm up.

13 Oper a ting Instr u ctions General Informa tion – You r treadmill is equ ipped with a Main A/C Power b utton, a Speed dial for power, and requires the RED SAFETY KEY to ope rate. The display will light up once th e Main A/C Power button is tu rned on.
14 Belt Adjustment and T ension WARNING! Do not overtighten ro llers! This will cause premat ure roller bearing failure! Belt adjustment and tension performs two functions: adjustment fo r tension and centering. Your new treadmill comes pre-adjusted from t he factory for tension and centering.
15 Maintenance Instr uctions WARNING! Before performing any ma intenance to your treadmill, always unplug the power cord from the surge protector. CLEANING Routine cleaning of your Keys Fitness tr eadmill wil l extend the life of your treadmill.
16 T r oubleshooting Guide T readmill will not start. 1) Is the RED Safety Key Attached t o the Console? 2) Make sure the power cord is plugged into a surg e protector, the surge protector is plugged in to a properly grounded outle t, and the surge protector is turned on.
