Installation Instructions (cont'd) Filling the Water Heater To fill the water heater with water: Close the water heater drain valve by turning the handle to the right (clockwise). The drain valve is on the lower front of the water heater. Open the cold water supply valve to the water heater.
Installation Instructions (cont'd) 2. The convertible element is located behind the lower access panel of the water heater. Remove the two screws securing the access panel, and remove panel. 5. Remove the screws from terminal 2 of the element, and move the looped end of the wire aside.
