CA UTION Use the charger in dr y locations only . Battery Charging E W ARNING • The batter y must be handled b y adults only . The batter y is heavy and contains sulfuric acid (electrolyte). Dropping the batter y could result in serious injur y . • Nev er allow children to charge the batter y .
Battery Charging Pb • Plug the charger connector into the battery . • Plug the charger into a standard 120 v olt wall outlet . Note: If power flo w to the wall outlet is controlled b y a s witch, mak e sure the s witch is “ON”. • Bef ore first-time use, charge the battery for at least 18 hours.
Assembly 9 3 • P osition the vehicle body upside down. Note: The mudflaps are marked “R” and “L ” to designate right and left. • With the “R” mar king facing up , align the two round holes in the right mudflap with the pegs on the underside of the right fender .
• Slide a washer onto one of the front axles. • Slide a round bushing, ring side first, onto the same front axle. • Slide a wheel (r ibbed side first) onto the front axle. • Slide a hubcap onto the front axle. •Slide a he x bushing onto the front axle.
TM 11 Assembly • Press the tab under the back of the seat and lift to remov e the seat. • Fit the rectangular opening in the cowling ov er the shifter handle. • Align the front, side and rear tabs on the cowling with the slots in the v ehicle body but do not snap the tabs into the slots.
• Lift the front end of the vehicle. • Slide the straight end of the steering column through the hole in the upper steering linkage and out through the hole in the v ehicle body . • Inser t the cur ved end of the steering column into the hole in the low er steering linkage.
13 Assembly Steering Column Handlebar Neck Rib Groov e Sound Bo x Handlebar Housing - Bottom Half • Slide the bottom half of the handlebar housing onto the end of the steering column. Make sure the rim on the bottom of the handlebar housing fits into the hole in the v ehicle body .
Assembly • Fit the front fairing onto the handlebar assembly . Make sure that the screw tabs on the handlebar assemb ly are aligned with the screw pegs on the front f airing. • Inser t f our #8 x 3 / 4 " screws through the top half of the handlebar housing and into the front f air ing and tighten the screws with a Phillips scre wdr iver .
R 15 Proper label application will help to keep the labels looking their best! When applying labels, keep the f ollowing guidelines in mind: • Wash y our hands before applying the labels . • Before applying the labels , wipe the surf ace of the vehicle with a clean, dr y cloth to remov e any dust or oils.

17 Important Note: Use only a P ower Wheels ® 12 volt batter y with built-in thermal fuse. Use of any other battery will damage your v ehicle. Make sure that y ou charge the batter y f or at least 18 hours using the enclosed P ower Wheels ® 12 v olt charger bef ore operating your v ehicle for the first time.
If a battery leak develops, av oid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf ormation below f or proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or ey es, flush with cool water f or at least 15 minutes and call a ph ysician.
10° Incline should never be more than 10° 5. Do not operate this v ehicle with more than one r ider , seated on the seating area. A child who is not sitting on the seat or who is standing on the v ehicle could f all off, cause a tip-ov er or block the driv er’ s vie w .
• Make sure the shifter is in the LO W SPEED position. • Press the foot pedal. The vehicle will driv e forw ard at a maximum of 2 1 / 2 mph. • Help your child practice steering to lear n how f ar and how quic kly to tur n the handlebar when dr iving f orward in low speed.
21 Adv anced Use - High Speed Drive Bef ore you disconnect the high speed loc k-out, make sure your child kno ws how to star t and stop the vehicle and knows the rules f or saf e dr iving. When the high speed lock-out is disengaged, the v ehicle can be dr iv en f orward in low speed (2 1 / 2 mph, maximum) or high speed (5 mph, maximum).

A new batter y should have been charged for at least 18 hours before using the vehicle for the first time. After first-time use, recharge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use.
