QuickPan Rotator Base Installing Detent Discs 1) T o install or change the Detent Discs simply loosen the silver thumbscr ew on the side of the black Rotator Hub by turning it in a counter clock wise direction. Do not remov e the scre w , just turn sev eral times.
QuickPan Rotator Base T ripod threaded bushing adapter Mounting camer a brack et The QuickPan III / IV Rotator Bases comes with a tripod adapter bushing which ac- commodates both 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch tri pod mounts.
Standar d Camera Brack et - Camera Mounting Mounting your camera on the Stan dard Camer a Br ac k et T o mount your cam era, fi rst se lect the ap pro pri ate slot in the V er ti cal Cam era Bracket that will best lo cate the tri pod mounting thread on your cam era.
Mounting your camera on the Spherical Brack et The Spherical Camera Mounting Brack et has a ro tat ing swing arm which is held into po si tion by large black locking knob. The knob al lows you to po si tion the arm and your camera from plus 90 degr ees to mi nus 90 degrees .

Position y our camera and tripod about 2-1/2 feet a wa y , or as close as possible with the edge still in focus when y ou look through the viewfi nder .
Nodal P oint (continued) comes to the For e-Aft adjustment, you w on’ t be able to look thr ough the viewfi nder to determine the pr oper setting since the viewfi nder is a separate optical path that doesn’ t reall y “see” the same image as the fi lm.
Shooting Panoramas How much Ov erlap? The amount you turn the camera f or each shot varies. It is dependent on a number of factors such as the fi eld of vie w (the angle) of your camera and lens, as w ell as which pr ogram you intend to use.
Shooting Panoramas (contin ued) How do I begin? stairstepping of images as you pr ogr ess ar ound the panorama. Stairstepping has nothing to do with the state of the entire head being lev el with respect to the horizon. This can be corr ected by r otating all the images a slight amount in your authoring pr ogram.
