10 English Listening to Auxiliary Equipment By playing the sound from auxiliary equipment through the System, you can gain control over ho w the music or program sounds. Once the connected equipment is playing through the System, you can apply the sound ef fects.

15 English Basics of Using the CD Player — Normal Play Playing a Disc ——————————————————————— 1. Prepare the discs. 2. Press the CD £ / 8 or the CD1, CD2 or CD3 button of the disc you want to play . When using the Remote Control, press the 3 b utton or the CD1, CD2 or CD3 buttons.
16 English Pr ogramming the Playing Or der of the T racks Y ou can change the order in which the discs and tracks play , and select only the discs and tracks y ou w ant from among those loaded in the CD Player . o Y ou can program up to 32 steps in any desired order from among the discs in the player .
17 English Random Play The tracks will play in no special order when you use this mode. On the Unit Press the RANDOM button while the CD player is stopped. The playback automatically starts from the selected CD. • “RANDOM” on the Play mode indicator lights up.
18 English T ray Lock Function In order to safely kee p the discs in the CD Pla yer , the three trays can be electronically lock ed in a single operation. When the electronic lock is on, the trays cannot be opened e ven if the 0 b utton is pressed. This function can only be accessed by using the buttons on the Unit itself.
19 English Playing V ideo CDs and CD-Gs Y ou can play V ideo CDs either with or without the PBC function as well as CD-Gs. Before playing, set video output correctly according to your TV system. 21 English Playing V ideo CDs with PBC Function The PBC (Playback Contr ol) function allows you to enjoy menu-dri ven operation and high r esolution still pictures. Menu-driven operation Y ou can interact with the TV screen using menu screens to select and play items of the disc.
22 English Playing V ideo CDs without Using Menu Screen ————— Y ou can cancel the PBC function and play the disc without using menu screen. 1. T urn on the TV and select the video input so that you can view the pictures from the Unit. Refer also to the manual supplied for y our TV .

Multiplex Sound In a multiple x kar aoke disc or tape, the instrumental par t is recorded on the left channel and the vocal part is recorded on the right channel.
34 English Car e and Maintenance Cassette T apes • If the tape is loose in its cassette, take up the slack by inserting a pencil in one of the reels and rotating. • If the tape is loose, it may get stretched, cut, or caught in the cassette. • Do not touch the tape surface.
