8 GETTING ST ARTED ** REFRESH The AC power adapter features a REFRESH function that allows you to fully discharge the battery pack before recharging. T o discharge the battery . . . .... attach the battery pack to the adapter as shown in the illustration to the left.

17 High-angle shooting If you tilt the LCD monitor downward, you can shoot from a high angle. OPEN LCD MONITOR 1 Make sure the LCD monitor is fully open. TIL T LCD MONITOR DOWNW ARD 2 • The LCD monitor can be tilted downward up to 45 degrees. Low-angle shooting If you tilt the LCD monitor upward, you can shoot from a low angle.

Zoom Out 1) Push the switch up toward “W”. NOTES: ● The further the power zoom switch is pushed, the faster the zoom speed becomes.

29 Self-Timer Y ou can set the delay between pressing Recording Start/ Stop and the actual start of recording. If you secure the camcorder , you (or whomever is operating the camcorder) can enter the scene before recording starts. NOTE: Y ou need the RM-V20U remote control unit to perform this procedure.

34 + PLA YBACK Using The Cassette Adapter Cassette Adapter (VHS PlayPak) Use this to play back a VHS-C video cassette recorded with this camcorder . It is fully compatible with any VHS video cassette recorder . The C-P7U adapter is battery powered and automatically performs tape loading and unloading.
35 EDITING T ape Dubbing CONNECT EQUIPMENT 1 Following the illustration on the left, connect the camcorder and the VCR. If you have a Remote P AUSE terminal, use the editing cable to connect it to the camcorder and the VCR. (See “NOTES” below for details.
36 SET REMOTE/VCR CODE SET REMOTE TO OPERA TE VCR 1 T urn off the power to the VCR and point the remote toward the VCR’ s infrared sensor .
