When it is extremely dirty, soak the cloth in a solution of neutr al detergent, wipe the body with it, and then use a clean cloth t o remove the detergent.

15 Getting Started • The battery is not charged at the time of purchase. Charge bef ore starting to use the camcorder . • When the batter y level is extremely lo w , the camcorder does not turn on until it is charged even if it is connected to the c omputer or AC adapt er .

19 Getting Started NOTE • The [SET DA TE/TIME!] screen does not appear when the date and time are already set . • The [SET DA TE/TIME!] screen appears when the camcorder has not been used for a long time. Charge the batt ery before setting the clock.
20 Recording Recor ding Video/S till Images Before r ecording an important scene, it is rec ommended to conduct a trial recording . 1 Pr ess the button( ) for about 1 second t o turn on the camcorder . 2 Select video or still image mode( ) from the T op Menu.
21 Recording • For con tinuous video recordings of long c onsecutive hours, the file is split in to pieces automatically either in every 30 minutes or if the size ex ceeds 4 GB. • Using the AC adapter (optional), you can r ecord f or long consecutive hours .

24 Recording Recording a t Intervals ( TIME-LAPSE RECORDING) This function enables the changes of a scene that occur slowly o ver a long period to be shown within a short time by taking frames of it at a certain inter val. Prepar ation: Video recording 1 T ouch t o display the T op Menu and touch .
25 Recording Using the C amcorder in W ater (GC- WP10 only) After use in water , rinse the camcorder with fresh w ater , then wipe off and dr y it well in a w ell-ventilat ed place out of direct sunlight as soon as possible. 27 Recording After use After use in water or when dusted with sandy dust, rinse the camc order with fresh water and dry it well as soon as possible. 1 Press the button for about 1 sec ond to turn off the camcorder . Make sure that the connector cov er is closed tightly .
28 Playback Playing Back on the C amcorder Select a video or still image to play back from the index screen. Prepar ation: Video recording/ Still image recor ding 1 T ouch . The camcorder turns t o play back mode. 2 Select a file. If you touch , the thumbnail images will enlarge.

43 Connecting with a Computer • We r ecommend using the AC adapt er (optional: AC-V10L U/JVC ) when transferring files of large size . • I f it doesn't operate properly , first confirm that the settings of the Eye-Fi car d are correct and tr y the data transf er using other equipment.
