4 Intr oduction Y our new digital projector is simple to c onnect, easy to use, and straightforward to maintain. It is a versatile projector that is flexible enough for business presentations and home video viewing too. IN3128HD has native 1920 x 1080 resolution.
5 Connector panel The projector provides both computer and video connecti on options, including: • HDMI (2) • VGA computer (2) • Component video •S - v i d e o • Composite video • Monitor out (for external monitors) • Audio inputs (1 RCA; 2 3.
6 Positioning the projector T o determine where to position the projecto r , consider the size and shape of your screen, the location of your power outlets, and the distance be tween the projector and the rest of your equipment. Here are some ge neral guidelines: • Position the projector on a flat surfac e at a right angle to the screen.
7 Connecting a computer sour ce VGA connection Connect one end of the provided computer cable to the Computer 1/Computer 2 connector on the projector and the other to the VGA connector on your computer . If you are using a desktop computer , you will need to disconnect the monitor cable from the computer’ s video port first.
8 Displaying an image Press the Pow er button. The Power LED lights blue, and t he fans start to run. Whe n the lamp comes on, the start up screen displays. It can take up to a minute for the image to achie ve full brightness. No start up scre en? Get help on page 12.
9 Adjusting the image If necessary , adjust the height of the proj ector by pressing the el evator foot release button to extend the foot. If necessary , rotate the leveling f eet located at the rear of the projector . Position the projector the desi red distance from the screen at a 90 degree angle to the screen.
10 Connecting a video device Y ou can connect vide o devices such as VCRs, DVD players, camcorders, digital cameras, video game consoles , HDTV receivers, and TV tuners to the projector .
11 Shutting down the projector Auto Off Ti me The projector a lso has an Auto Of f T ime feature that au tomatically turns the projector off after no active sources are detected and no user interaction with the projector is performed for 30 minutes. By default, this feature is off.

19 Using the remote contr ol The remote uses two (2) AAA batteries ( not provided). They are easily installed by removing the cover from the remote’ s ba ck, aligning the + and - ends of the batteries, sliding the m into plac e, and then replacing the cover .
20 Using the audio Using the projector’s speakers Connect the audio source to the Audio 1, Audio 2 or Audio L/R connectors to hear audio through the projector speakers. Y ou may use the projector ’ s speakers by connecting a microphone to th e Microphone input connector .
21 Using the keypad buttons Most buttons are described in detail in other sec tions, but here is an overview of their functions: Power –turns the projector on and off ( page 8 ). Auto –resy nchronize the projector to the source. Menu –opens the onscreen menus ( page 24 ).
22 Optimizing computer images After the projector is running and the im age is on the screen, you can optimize the image using the onscreen menus. For gene ral information on us ing the menus, see page 24. • Select default image setti ngs using a preset appropriate to your environment.
23 Optimizing video images After your video device is connected pr operly and the image is on the screen, you can optimize the image using the onscreen menus. For gen eral information on using the menus, see page 24. • Adjust the Keystone, Contrast, Brightness, Color , or T int ( page 25 ).
24 Using the menus 1 T o open the menus, press the Menu button on the keypad or remote. (The menus automatically close after 60 sec onds if no buttons are pressed.) Use the arrow buttons to move up and d o wn to review the menu options. 2 T o enter a submenu, highlight the desired submenu and press Enter on the keypad or remote.
25 Basic Menu T o adjust the following settings, highlight the setting, use the right and left arrows to adjust the v alues. Aspect Ratio : Aspect ratio is the ratio of th e image width to image height. TV screens are usually 4:3. HDTV and most DVDs are 16:9.

29 Contr olling the pr ojector thr ough a LAN enviro nment The projector supports Crestron ® software. W ith correct settings for the Network menu, you can manage the projector fro m a computer using a web browser when the computer and the projector are prope rly connected to the sa me local area network.
30 Wir eless connection T o connect to the projector wirelessly , you have to plug an InFocus wireless d ongle (optional) to the USB T ype A connector on the projector, and then only a few OSD configuration steps are required. 1 Make sure the projector is turne d on.
31 iii. The Crestron (eControl) page displays the Crestr on eControl user interface. See page 31 for details. 3 T o access the Admin page, enter the password. The default password is “admin”. If you forget the password, pl ease go to Advanced Menu > Setup > Network > Network Restart to restor e the password to the default code.

34 Displaying images thr ough ifPresenter Downloading and inst al ling ifPresenter The ifPresenter is an application which can run on the host PC . It helps connect your computer to an available network proj ecto r and transfer the desktop conten t to the network projector via local network connection.
35 4 The Basic Setting page allows you to configure ifPresenter . i. T o change the ifPresenter interface la nguage, click the down arrow to reveal a drop-down list and select a desired language.
36 6 Y ou can manage the connect ed projectors listed un der Device Management. • Under a conference mode: 1 Only the administrator can take control. 2 A projector can display up to 4 computer screens. • Y ou can set the name of your comput er und er ifPresenter Management.
37 Displaying pictures wi th a USB storage device The projector has a built-in application which can display images from a USB storage device. It ca n eliminate the need for a compute r source.

39 Maintenance Cleaning the lens 1 Apply a non-abrasive camera lens cleaner to a soft, dry cloth. • Projector must be off and the le ns must be at room temper ature. • A void using an excessive amount of cleaner , and don’t apply the cleaner directly to the lens.
40 Replacing the projection lamp The Lamp Hours timer in the Projector Info menu counts the number of hours the lamp has been in use. T wenty hours befo re the lamp life e xpires, the message “Replace lamp” disp lays on the screen at startup. • NOTE : Be sure to use the InFocus lamp module designed for this projector .
41 1 T urn of f the projector and unplug the power cord. 2 W ait 60 minutes to allow the projector to cool thoroughly . 3 Remove the lamp door , located on top of the projector , by removing the screws on either side of the lamp door, sliding th e door forward, and lifting the lamp door off.
