4 Introduction Your new digital projector is simple to co nnect, easy to use, and strai ghtforward to maintain. It is a versatile projector that is flexible enough fo r business presentation s and home video viewing too.

6 Positioning the projector To determine where to position the projector, co nsider the size and shape of your screen, the location of your power outlets, and the distance between the projector and the rest of your equipmen t. He re are some general guidelines: • Position the pro jector on a flat surface at a right a ngle to the screen.
7 Connecting a computer source VGA connection Connect one end of the provided compu ter cable to the Computer 1/Computer 2 connector on the projecto r and the other to the VGA connector o n your computer. If you are using a de sktop comp uter, you wil l need to discon nect the monitor cable fro m the computer’s video port f irst.
8 Displaying an image Press the Power button. The Power LED lights blue, an d the fans start to run. When the lamp comes on, the start up screen displays. It can t ake up to a minute fo r the image to achieve full brightness. Note: When the feature, AC Power On, is enabled, th e projector aut omatically t urns on when power is connected.
9 Adjusting the image If necessary, adjust th e height of the projector by ro tating the elevator foot to extend t he foot. If necessary, rotate the levelin g foot lo cated at the rear of th e projector. Avoid placin g your hand s near the hot exhaust vent at t he front of th e projecto r.
10 Connecting a video device You can connect video devi ces such as VCRs, DVD pl ayers, camcorders , digital cameras, video game consoles, HDTV receivers, and TV tuners to the project or.
11 Shutting down the projector Auto Off Time The projector also has an Auto Off Time feat ure that automatically tu rns the projec tor off after no active sou rces are detected an d no user interactio n with the projecto r is performed for 30 minutes.

19 Using the remote control The remote uses two (2) AAA batteries (not provided). They are easily installed by removing the cover from the remote’s back, aligning the + and - ends of the batteries, sliding them in to place, and then replacing the cover.
20 Using the audio Using the projector’s speakers Connect the audio source to the Audio 1/Audio 2 conn ectors to hear audio through the projector speakers. Amplified speakers may also be connected to the projector using the Audio Out co nnector. To adjust the volume, pres s the Vo lume buttons on the remote.
21 Using the keypad buttons Most buttons are descri bed in detail in oth er section s, but here is an ov erview of their functions: Power –turns t he projector on and off (page 8). Right arrow - Whe n the menu is displayed, the right arrow button navigates through the menu.
22 Optimizing computer images After the projector is running and the image is on the screen, you can optimize the image using the onscreen menu s. For general information on usin g the menus, see page 24. • Select default image settings using a preset appropriat e to your environme nt.

24 Using the menus 1 To open the menus, press the Menu button on the keypad or remote. (The menus automatically cl ose after 60 second s if no buttons are pressed.) Use the arrow buttons to move up and down to review the menu options. 2 To enter a submenu, highlight the desi red submenu and pres s > on the keypad or Select on remot e.
25 Basic Menu To adjust the following setti ngs, highlight the set ting, use the right and left arrows to adjust the values. Aspect Ratio : Aspe ct ratio is the ratio of the image width to image height. TV screens are usually 4:3. HDTV and most DVDs are 16:9.
26 Advanced Menu Image: 3D Control: 3D: allows you to enjoy 3D (ster eoscopic) content . Your projector s upports Auto, Top-Bottom, Frame Sequential , Frame Packing, Side-by-Side for c ontrolling LCD shut- ter glasses. In addition to th e projector, yo u will n eed a pair of 3D shutter glasses, 3D content, a nd 3D com patible so urce.

28 Lamp... Programmed Dimming : When enabled, Programmed Dim ming enhances contrast ratios, lamp life and system noise performanc e. Lamp power will change continuously based on the brightness of the pr ogram content. Note: Image anomalies may be seen when image scenes change from dark to light (or light to dark).
29 Timer Auto Off Time : automati cally turns the p rojector of f after no signals are detected for a preset number of minutes. If an active sign al is received before the projector p owers down, the image will be displayed.

36 EZ Display: Quad Split Screen EZ Display allows 4 different source s to be displayed in t he same screen. Through Split Screen Control, you can decide whe re your current display should be placed.
