6 – English MA CHINE´S SAFETY EQ UIPMENT General This section descr ibes the machine ′ s saf ety equipment, its pur pose, and ho w checks and maintenance should be carried out to ensure that it operates correctly . Thr ottle lock out The throttle tr igger lock is designed to pre vent accidental operation of the throttle.
English – 7 MA CHINE´S SAFETY EQUIPMENT Vibration damping system • Y our machine is equipped with a vibration damping system that is designed to reduce vibration and mak e operation easier .
8 – English BLADES General • Diamond blades consist of a steel core pro vided with segments that contain industrial diamonds. W ater cooling • W ater cooling must alwa ys be used. When wet cutting, the blade is contin uously cooled to pre vent o verheating.
English – 9 BLADES • adjustment between the rollers and b lade is correct. See instructions in the section "Assembling and adjustments". The roller setting should be check ed twice dur ing the life of the diamond blade , once after fitting the blade and when the blade is semi w orn.
10 – English ASSEMBLING AND ADJUSTMENTS Fitting the blade • Wipe off any dirt from the surface of the blade . • Loosen the locking n uts on the suppor t roller cov er . • Unscrew the adjuster scre ws a fe w turns. • Loosen the knob to offload the springs.
English – 11 ASSEMBLING AND ADJUSTMENTS • Fit the suppor t roller cov er . Now tighten the f our screws fully . • Rotate the blade and mak e sure that the suppor t rollers are not clamped against the blade . • Adjust the adjuster screws so that the support rollers make contact against the b lade.
12 – English FUEL HANDLING General Fuel Gasoline • Use good quality unleaded gasoline. • The lowest recommended octane g rade is 87 ((RON+MON)/2).
English – 13 FUEL HANDLING Long-term stora ge • When storing the machine for long periods the fuel tank must be emptied. Contact your local gas station to find out where to dispose of e xcess fuel.
14 – English OPERA TING Pr otective equipment General • Do not use the machine unless you are ab le to call for help in the e vent of an accident. P ersonal protective equipment Y ou must use approv ed personal protective equipment whene ver y ou use the machine.
English – 15 OPERA TING W ork area safety • Obser ve y our surroundings to ensure that nothing can aff ect your control of the machine . • Ensure that no one/nothing can come into contact with the cutting equipment or be hit by parts if the blade breaks.
16 – English OPERA TING • F eed the machine in line with the blade . Side pressure can destro y the blade and is e xtremely dangerous. • Mov e the blade slowly bac kwards and forw ards to give a small contact surf ace between the b lade and material to be cut.
English – 17 OPERA TING Kickbac k The word kic kback is used to describe the sudden reaction that causes the power cutter and cutting b lade to be thrown from an object when the upper quadrant of the b lade, kno wn as the kickbac k zone, touches an object.
18 – English ST AR TING AND ST OPPING Bef ore star ting • P erform daily maintenance. See instr uctions in the section "Maintenance". Star ting • Decompression valve: Press in the v alve to reduce the pressure in the cylinder , this is to assist star ting the power cutter .
English – 19 ST AR TING AND ST OPPING • When the engine star ts, quickly apply full throttle to automatically disengage f ast idle. Stopping • Stop the engine by mo ving the stop switch (ST OP) to the right. ! CA UTION! The cutting blade continue to rotate up to a min ute after the motor has stopped.
20 – English MAINTENANCE General • Let your Husqv ar na dealer regularly check the machine and make essential adjustments and repairs . Maintenance schedule In the maintenance schedule you can see which parts of your machine that require maintenance, and with which intervals it should take place .
English – 21 MAINTENANCE Cleaning External cleaning • Clean the machine daily by rinsing it with clean water after the work is finished. Cooling air intake • Clean the cooling air intake when needed.
22 – English MAINTENANCE • Lift off the blade . • Unscrew the knob . First turn the knob a few turns until you f eel a resistance. The guide roller then follows the knob out and stops when it f eels a resistance. The guide roller is pressed into the knob .
English – 23 MAINTENANCE • Use a 19 mm fix ed spanner and a 13 mm combination spanner to replace the rollers. • Lubricate using bear ing grease inside the rollers bef ore the new rollers are fitted. Drive wheel Replacing the drive wheel • Lock the axle using the loc king button.
24 – English MAINTENANCE • Press on the belt tensioner with your thumb to tension the belt. Now tighten the scre w holding the belt tensioner. • Fit the belt cov er . Carburetor The carburettor is equipped with fix ed needles to ensure the machine alwa ys receives the correct mixture of fuel and air .
English – 25 MAINTENANCE • Secure the star ter cord around the cord pulley as illustrated. Tighten the f astening well and ensure that the free end is as shor t as possible.
26 – English MAINTENANCE Air filter The air filter only needs to be check ed if the engine drops in power . • Loosen the screws . Remove the air filter co ver . • Check the air filter and replace if necessary . Replacing the air fi lter • Loosen the screws .
