English- 15 CONTROLS Controls This operator ’s manual describes the Husqvarna Zero T urn Rider . The rider is fitted with a Kawasaki or Kohle r four-stroke V -T win engine deve loping 17-23 ho rse power . T ran smission fro m the engine is made via two belt-driven hydraulic pumps, which in turn drive a hydraulic mo tor for each drive wheel.
English- 16 CONTROLS 1. Motion Control Levers The machine’ s speed and direction are continuously variable using the two steering controls. The stee ring controls can be moved forward or ba ckward about a neutral position. Furthermore, there is a neutral position, which is locked if the steering controls are moved outward.
English- 17 CONTROLS 2. Hour Meter The hour meter displa ys the total operating time. It will flash CHG OIL (Change Oil) at 50 hour intervals. The flash du ration is one hour before and one hour af ter the interval. The CHG OIL icon will come on and shut off automatically .
English- 18 CONTROLS 5. Blade switch In order to engage th e mower deck, pull the knob out; the mower blades are disengaged when the knob is depresse d. 6. Ignition Switch The ignition key is placed in the ignition switch on the driver ’s panel and is used to start and sto p the engine.
English- 19 CONTROLS 8. Seat Locking Device Under the rear part of the seat is a locking device that locks the seat into its folded position. The seat has hinges at the front edge and can be folded fo rward when the locking device is pushed. 9. Refueling The machine has two fue l tanks, one on each side just behind the seat.
English- 20 CONTROLS 10. Fuel Shut Off V alve The fuel shut off valve is located at the right rear of the seat. The valve has three positions; right tank, left tank and center is the off position. 1 1. Seat Adjustment Lever The seat can be adju sted lengthways.

Throttle Control The throttle control regulates the engine speed and thereby the ra te of rotation of the blades, assuming the blade switch is pulled out, see Engaging the Mower Deck. In order to increase or decrease the engine speed, the control is move d downward or upward respectively .
English- 22 CONTROLS Cutting height pedal On some models there is a deck assist lift pedal to aid in the lifting of the deck. Pump release valves Pump release valves are located at the pumps. They are used to release the system so the machine may be moved by hand when not running.

The average la wn should be cut to 2 1/2" (64 mm) during the cool season and over 3" (76 mm) during the hot months.
