English – 5 INTR ODUCTION Dear Customer , Thank y ou f or choosing a Husqvarna Rider . Husqvarna Riders are built to a unique design with a front-mounted cutting unit and a patented ar ticulated steering. Riders are designed for maximum ef fi ciency e ven in small or con fi ned areas.

English – 13 PRESENT A TION Cutting height adjustment lever The cutting height can be adjusted to 10 diff erent positions with the cutting height le ver . Combi-unit 25-75 mm Seat The seat has a jointed attachment on the front edge and can be tipped f orward.

16 – English Driving Cutting tips • Localise and mark stones and other fi xed objects to a void collision. • Star t with a high cutting height and reduce down until the required mowing results are obtained.
English – 17 Maintenance Maintenance schedule The f ollowing is a list of the maintenance which should be conducted on the machine. For those points not described in this manual, visit an authorised ser vice workshop . 1) First change after 8 hours.
18 – English Maintenance Cleaning Clean the machine directly after use. It is much easier to wash off grass cuttings bef ore they dr y . Oily dir t can be remov ed using a cold degreasing agent. Spra y on a thin la yer . Rinse at normal water pressure.
English – 19 Maintenance 2 Check the tension of the steering wires by squeezing them together by the arro ws as illustrated. It should be possible to push them together so that the distance between them is half as much, without using unnecessary f orce.
20 – English Maintenance 2 Pull the choke wire casing to the f ar r ight and tighten the clamping screw . 3 Pull back the throttle to the full throttle position and chec k that the choke is no longer actuated. Replacing the air fi lter If the engine seems to lack po wer or does not run smoothly this ma y be because the air fi lter is clogged.
English – 21 Maintenance Checking the tyre pressure The tyre pressure should be 60 kP a / 0.6 bar / 9 PSI on all wheels. In order to improve drive po wer , the pressure in the rear tyres can be reduced to 40 kP a / 0.4 bar / 6 PSI. Ignition system The engine is equipped with an electronic ignition system.
22 – English Maintenance Check that the cooling intak e is free from leav es, grass and dir t. Check the air duct, located on the inside of the engine co ver , ensure it is clean and does not rub against the cooling air intake . A bloc ked cooling intak e will interfere with the cooling of the engine, which can damage the engine .
English – 23 Maintenance Service position for the cutting unit The cutting head can be placed in the service position to provide easy access f or cleaning, repairs and ser vicing. In the ser vice position the cutting unit is raised and loc ked in the vertical position.
24 – English Maintenance Removing the BioClip plug T o change a Combi deck from the BioClip function to a cutting deck with rear ejection, remo ve the BioClip plug, which is located under the unit. • Put the unit in the ser vice position, see Placing in the ser vice position.
English – 25 Lubrication Checking the engine’ s oil level. Check the oil le vel in the engine when the Rider stands horizontal with the engine s witched off. Open the engine cov er . Loosen the dipstick, pull it up and wipe it off . The dipstick should be completely scre wed down Pull the dipstick out again and read the oil le vel.

28 – English Storage Winter stora ge At the end of the season, or if the machine is going to stand idle f or more than 30 days , it should immediately be made ready f or storage. Fuel which is left to stand for long periods (30 da ys or more) can leav e tacky deposits which can b lock the carburettor and interf ere with the engine.
