English 6 WORKI NG CONDITIONS 1. Refrain from operating the blower if you are tired, ill, or upset, or if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication 2. T o reduce the risk of hearing loss associated with sound levels, hearing protection is required.
English 7 BEFORE ST ARTING THE ENGINE • Each time before starting the engine, inspect the entire unit to see if every part is in good order and is securely tightened in place. If any damage is found in the fuel line, the exhaust line, or the ignition wiring, do not use the blower until it has been repaired.
English 8 MAINTENANCE 1. In order to maintain your product in proper working order , perform the maintenance and che cking operations describ ed in the manual at regular intervals. 2. Always be sure to turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug before performing any maintenance or che cking procedures.

English 12 SWIVEL JOINT 1. Connect the blower and swivel joint with flexible hose. Clamp both ends of the flexible hose securely with the hardware supplied wit h the unit. THRO TTLE LEVER [130BT/170BT] 1. Set up the throttle holder to the swiv el and tigh ten the screw on the holder.
English 13 BLO WER TUBES 1. Align the protrusion and the groove pr ovided on the tube ends and twist the tube until the connection is locked. NOTE A light lubricant may be used to ease assembly of flexible p ipe to blower elbow. NOTE If longer tube is required, the second straight pipe can be connected with th e first one.
English 14 FUEL W ARNING • Gasoline is very flammable . A void smoking or bringing any flame or sparks near fuel. Make sure to stop the engine and allo w it cool before refueling the unit. Select outdoor bare ground for fueling and move at least 10ft (3m) away from the fueli ng point before starting the engine.
English 15 CONTROL ARM [170BF] • Hold the upper end of the control arm in hand and, while pulling it away from the unit, rotate arm forward (counter-clockwise in the direction of t he arro w) until it clicks. (The first position) And if you want, you can rotate arm furthe r until it clicks.
English 16 ADJUSTING IDLE SPEED [130BT] • The idling speed is set for 3000 rpm at the factory . If it is necessary to adjust the idle speed, use the adjustment screw on the top side of carburetor . (1)Idling Adjustment Screw [170BT/170BF] • The idling speed is set for 2000 rpm at the factory .
English 17 Maintenance, replacement, or repair of the emission contro l device and systems may be perform ed by any non-road eng ine repair establishment or individual. W ARNING Make sure that the engine has stopped and is cool before performing any service to the blower.
English 18 FUEL FIL TER • A clogged fuel filter may cause poor accele ration of the engine. Check periodically to see if the filter is clogged with dirt. The filter can be taken out of the fueling port using a small wire hook. Disconnect the filter as sembly from the fuel pipe and unhook the retainer to disassemble it.
English 19 AIR INLET NET IMPORT AN T • Blown air is taken in from the air inlet net. If th e air flow drops during opera- tion, stop the engine and inspect the air inlet net for blo ckage by obstacles. • Note that failure to remove any such obstacles may result in the engine becoming overheated and damaged.
