41674-01 6 Operation Initial Operation This section provides basic instructions on the use of your air purif ier . After following these initial directions, please continue reading this booklet to learn ho w to operate the more advanced features of your air purif ier .
7 41674-01 Operation Adjusting Day and T ime: (F or example, W ednesday at 3:45 pm) 1. T o set the day or time, press the D A Y/TIME key . All display features except the day and time will go blank and the hour will flash. 2. Use the UP/DOWN k eys to adjust the hour .
41674-01 8 Operation Remote Operation F or your con venience, a remote control is provided with this air purif ier . The remote may be used to turn the air purifier on or of f and adjust the fan speed. Operating the Air Pur ifier with the remote: 1. Install two AAA batteries (UM-4 or IEC R03 or equiv alent).
9 41674-01 Operation Display Modes Y our air purif ier has 3 display modes – Clock Display , Pre-Filter Display , and Filter Dis- play . When the unit is running, the display also provides additional information about the settings of the air purifier .
41674-01 10 Operation Manual and A uto Operating Modes Y our Hunter Air Purifier has tw o distinct oper ating modes – Manual and Auto. The Manual Mode allows you to o verride the control programs that hav e been set and to hold the settings until you adjust them.
11 41674-01 Operation Override of A uto Mode Y ou can use two dif ferent methods to override Auto Mode. If you choose temporary o ver - ride, the air purifier will run at the temporary setting until the ne xt scheduled program change. Permanent ov erride will remain in effect until you return the unit to auto mode .
41674-01 12 Operation Filter Run-Time Counters The pre-filter and f ilter are critical to the proper oper ation of the air purifier . T o help you know when to change the f ilters, your Hunter Air Purifier has Filter Run-T ime Counters that will monitor the number of hours your f ilters hav e been in use.
13 41674-01 Programming Setting Da y and Time Setting the correct day and time allows the pr ograms to work ef fectiv ely and provides a clock for your reference. Although the instructions for setting the day and time are listed under Initial Operation, they are repeated belo w for your con venience.
41674-01 14 Pr ogramming NO TES: • The clock flashes when the time has not been set. • At any time while you are setting the Day/T ime, you can press the PR OGRAM key to toggle between AM/PM format and military time format.

Since you will lose all of your programmed settings when the unit is reset, you should consult the T roubleshooting section (pg.
19 41674-01 Air Purifier Maintenance Cleaning Y our Air Purifier Proper maintenance of your Hunter Air Purifier will help ensure years of trouble free service. F ollo w these steps to properly maintain your air purifier: 1. Approximately e very 90 days, the outside of the unit should be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth.
